Specialties
Sprouts is a daycare center specializing in the care of children ages 6 weeks to 24 months of age. We have our children separated into infants (typically 12 months and under) and toddlers (generally 12 months and older). In our infant room we follow the schedule of the child. We work closely with the families to communicate what feedings and napping schedule works best for each child. Our infant room develops a monthly curriculum, in which, each week the children are exposed to a new art or sensory activity. In both of our classrooms we teach baby sign to help eliminate language frustrations for children that haven’t yet developed words. In our toddler classroom we have a daily schedule that the children follow each day. This schedule is flexible and caters to the needs of the children. Our toddler classroom has a weekly curriculum in which they are introduced to new art and sensory projects each day that follow a general theme. We do accept many subsidized program. Please call to inquire or to set up a tour!
History
Established in 2013.
The director began in the field in 2006 volunteering in a toddler classroom, as she obtained her college degree. After college she began working for at Bright Horizons for one of their largest centers (500+ children). She worked there for 2 years when she relocated to the east bay. Once in the east bay she she began working for Children’s Creative Learning Center in a client based facility. She worked there for 2 years as well, when in 2012 her mother in-law needed help with her facility. While she worked with her MIL she heard story after story about mothers who left their baby with a relative or an in home day care and had a terrible experience. There were no other Centers that took children under 2 at the time. So she found a site and built the perfect facility for little ones. She used all of her previous knowledge working in high end centers to design Sprouts. We hope you will enjoy it!
