Like the butchers and meat counter workers. Prices are not cheap but the meat is never a disappointment. I wish the quality was the same for the veggies. I went in for lettuce and all heads were wilted. I buy avocodos every week(from some where) but very tired of paying for them, taking them home, and they are all rotten inside. Now some things are good but… why do I need to buy year old apples that been sitting around in cold storage for ten months minimum when I live here… so close to Hood River and other great apple locations. Don’t know why they sell Mexico tomatoes etc. To me I expect to get local stuff, at least from west coast. After two years I am learning, to buy most produce elsewhere.

After moving up to North Clark County from Portland, I was thrilled to find Battle Ground Produce… but not necessarily for the produce. While the fruit & veggie selection is fine, I come here weekly for their excellent butcher counter. Painted Hills beef, Carlton Farms pork, Draper Valley chicken — and usually at better prices than Fred Meyer’s factory farm pickings. Most of the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have a nice selection of gourmet packaged products too. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a little better quality meat than you can find at the supermarkets.

Inquired on selling product to them he required a 500% markup and I only get 3 $ a pound? Was super rude and hung up on me. I was only asking 5 $ a pound when they are going for 20 $ a pound all day at frdmayers… I am a local who keeps there money and product local. he chooses to outsource and support people with less than stellar harvesting practices. He doesn’t support the community at all as my sales go to a charitable organization helping local families in hard times… he was so rude to such a wonderful cause I am officially boycotting them… too busy to listen to help our community once you found out you won’t be making you’re markup you hung up, our community needs all the local it can get to stimulate growth and prosperity. Don’t support these people they don’t support you… zero stars…

The wine selection is decent. However, don’t bother with their overpriced and overripe produce. Their customer-appreciation event was also disappointing. was supposed to start at noon. However, the BBQ wasn’t ready. At 12:20, you guys were just turning on your small, electric grill to cook thick steaks. You lose customers when you tell the public a time and then are not prepared. Flakiness is a huge turn-off, and we will not be back. It was also concerning to see vendors eating their own samples at their tables. I suggest they refresh up on the food-handling laws.
