Established in 1999.

Mark Mathews opened in 1999 with a vision of a store of the best fishing gear around. He added rod and reel repair services and customer requested lures and grew enough to need a new location. Online sales is the most recent addition to Superior Tackle and has served many nationwide.

Mark and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I always enjoy looking at the latest rods and reels, restocking my baits and talking with Mark about his suggestions. This is a great, family run business that I am happy to support any time I need something. I highly recommend Superior bait and tackle.

I find it hard to believe what happened in the previous review. The employees and owner are extremely friendly and helpful. The other day my 9 year old son was in there and the guy explained to him about different types of rods etc. My husband buys all of his fishing goodies from here (except clothes). They don’t carry some of the brands that he wears. Whatever. They have a good selection of rods, reels, artificial bait etc. they also have a nice selection of Costas. Some stuff I’ve never even heard of! Support local business and go here.
