Specialties
Southside is unique in the Baton Rouge area because of what we offer. Even though we are family-owned and operated, Southside has always provided the highest level of childcare in the Baton Rouge area. Our mission statement holds us to a higher level of accountability than the Department of Education’s minimum guidelines. Your child will be provided with a degreed Teacher, lower ratios than the state’s teacher/child ratios, all diaper and wipes, up to a 10 hour day of love, care and learning. Our professional chef prepares at least three of our five lunches per week, completely from scratch. We serve Kleinpeter milk to our children, which has no growth hormones in it. We provide a beautiful play yard for each individual class. All classrooms have a full-time teacher and full-time assistant. We are conveniently located off of College Dr. We have been providing high-quality childcare for over 24 years!
History
Established in 1992.
Southside was the first childcare program in Baton Rouge to earn National Accreditation from NAEYC. We continued to be accredited for over 16 years. We have jumped off the NAEYC bandwagon and now provide high quality childcare by having earned four stars through the Louisiana’s Quality Stars program. Come see how high quality childcare will build that strong foundation for your child and a tax credit for you!
