Signal 88 Security of Baton Rouge & Houma/​Thibodaux was launched by Houma native Jason Bourgeois in 2013. The local company provides a revolutionary, new concept to Louisiana’s private security industry by creating customized security solutions for businesses and residences in the community. Signal 88 Security of Baton Rouge & Houma/​Thibodaux uses state-​of-​the art technology to provide dependable, quality service at a competitive price for South Louisiana.

Signal 88 Security of Baton Rouge & Houma/​Thibodaux is part of the national franchise group, Signal 88 Security, founded in Omaha, Nebraska by law enforcement professionals in 2003. In Nebraska police code, Signal 88 means «situation secure.» The mission of the Signal 88 Security organization is to revolutionize and establish a higher standard of professionalism in the security industry. Its re-​engineered, effective security services are provided by its officers each and every day.

Jason P.

Business Owner

Owner/​Operator Jason Bourgeois was born in Thibodaux and raised in Houma. In 2001, Bourgeois enlisted with the Marine Corps Reserve as a Military Policeman. After deploying to Iraq, Bourgeois transferred to the United States Air Force in 2006. With the Air Force, Bourgeois served in multiple capacities, including an Antiterrorism Program Management position in Little Rock and a tour in Afghanistan. Following his service, Bourgeois was employed as a contracted extension of the Diplomatic Security Service for the U.S. Department of State, serving as a personal security specialist at the United States Embassy in Kabul. Additionally, Bourgeois has experience with the Terrebonne Parish D.A.‘s Office, where he served as a community service supervisor. Jason lives in Thibodaux, with his wife, Candace, three daughters (aged 9, 7, and 2), and a son on the way (April 2016).
