Stopped in — with a tight schedule — and had a quick bite to eat for lunch — which affects the nature of this review as well! I ordered the Chicken Schwarma Caesar Salad which was prepared and delivered in good time. The salad portion was fine, but unimaginative, a little heavy on the dressing lacking in Parmesan, in my opinion. The chicken was well cooked and not dry — easily the best part of that dish — and rescued it a little bit. The waiter was efficient, the restaurant was crowded for lunch and I suspect has a lot of loyal local clientele, and the price was very reasonable. The menu had what you would expect to see in a Lebanese restaurant — I will come back and sample some other items.

This goes into my Mediterranean list. Totally. It is one of the better ones around. And Baton Rouge has a lot of them. * what I like about Serop’s is that it does really Good on basic things which you expect to be tasty. Their humus was good. I have had humus at places where I felt it was too watery and that it doesn’t have the fresh taste. You go to one of these places not to have a humus which tastes like the ones we get in Walmart. This place has good humus. Period. * they also had decent chicken shawarma and since it’s safe and economical to have this at most places. The lunch platter was not as much of chicken shawarma as I would have expected but then the meal was alright. * their salad for starters wasn’t as good. Something was missing. * I went for lunch and the place was full. Everyone around comes to this place for lunch I guess. * the service was fast and it was around 13 $ with for the lunch platter. Which I think is slightly on the expensive side(Grad student woes)

I’d never had Serop’s before — or anything remotely close — until I started working on that side of town. My coworkers always had it for lunch. It always smelled amazing so I finally got a chicken schwarma plate one day. I have never looked back! Everything is delicious and I’m sorry, but the other locations I’ve had around Baton Rouge are just not as good in my opinion!

Not the worst Lebanese food & not the best. Quick service. Chicken shawarma plate is a decent lunch portion. The hummus had a nice flavor. I’d return to try more menu items.

Great visit for lunch today. One word — FAST! I met a colleague for lunch and was instantly greeted when I arrived(around 11:05) and was instructed to seat myself. A waiter appeared in a few short moments and took my drink order. Once my lunch companion arrived, the waiter quickly brought our drinks and took the order. We both ordered the chicken shawarma fattoush salad(which is excellent, by the way) and I kid you not — in two minutes flat he was back, delivering our meal. The restaurant quickly filled up around us and by noon there wasn’t an empty seat. Food was delicious and prompt. Service was good. Parking can be a challenge if you don’t arrive early, as they have a pretty small lot.

Love the hummus here. You know it’s good just by how busy they stay at lunch. Great atmosphere and the service was great. We love to come here when we have the time for a sit down lunch.

The chicken schawarma was not good. Dried out and tasteless. Too bad as the way they described the overnight marinade on the menu sounded great. However, others in the party had the chicken kabob and chicken in dill sauce. Those were very good.

Nothing really great, and nothing really bad. I great place to grab a quick bite to eat on this side of town at lunch time. The portions are so-so for lunch compared to other similar style restaurants. The chicken is sometimes dry along with the gyro at times, but overall the place is good for lunch.

I’ve been a few times here. The chicken. & gyro platters are great. Usually served with feta salad and rice. Tabouli is good, but once I ordered moussaka as a side. It was not good nor resembled the moussaka I’ve had before. Serope’s is a great healthy alternative to much of Perkins Rowe.

I was looking for something healthy and was craving something different. This place did not let me down I believe I got the # 9 which is the chicken shewamwe? However you spell it, I loved it, and it also came with a slice of pita bread and some sauce. The line moved very fast, the portion was pretty large, and it only cost something like $ 6.35

Serop’s ROCKS! We decided to visit this restaurant on a Thurs. evening and didn’t realize, until we were at the door, that they closed in 15 minutes. We left so we weren’t «those people» but the server opened the door and told us to come back it was no problem! Upon entering, the owners? who were behind the counter, told us to come in they had plenty to keep them busy while we ate. We ordered chicken schwarma, combo schwarma, the combo chicken & gyros salad, and the chicken in dill sauce. Everything was delicious but by far, the latter was, three words-WON-DER-FUL! And it was nice to see the joy in the owner’s face as he told us, upon compliment, that it was his signature recipe! Wonderful service and the staff were delightful and had smiles that warmed the heart! Will definitely make this my regular Lebanese craving stop!

I like this place. I go frequently as it is a better alternative to so many fast food chains. Good selection so that you can vary choices. Chicken Shwarma(sp?) is always a good choice. I like the fatoush salad better than the regular one. Falafel is good but not quite as spicy as I like. Service can be sketchy. Sometimes they are friendly and efficient. Other times not so much. Baklava is good!

This place is amazing. Serop’s Café was at the top of my list of most missed places when I lived out of state. The chicken schawarma, salad, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and fried kibbeh are all favorites of mine. Although there are several locations of Serop’s in Baton Rouge, this one is, by far, the best. Parking can be rough during peak lunch hours.

I was here for lunch with my husband. The food is decent, but if you have even a moderately realistic expectation of decent service, you WILL be disappointed. I have never been to this location without having to track down a server for refills on beverages and pita. Today’s service was even more disappointing than usual; our server was nowhere to be found, and we were finally forced to track him down to pay so we could leave. I won’t be back; Arzi’s and Albasha can have my business.
