The experience totally depends on which stylist you see. We’ve had both great and pretty bad experiences. The 2 older stylists never introduced themselves and seem to dislike children. Both seemed put out that a toddler couldn’t keep still. I said not to use clippers and one stylist proceeded to use them and my son got upset. I basically had to threaten her to get her to put them down. The other older stylist corrected my child for moving instead of asking me to help. I will never let either of the older stylists touch my son’s head again. However, the 2 younger, blond stylists are fabulous! Both are friendly, like kids, and do a great job. They are fast and able to work on a squirming toddler. Their names are Paige and Brook. I request them now – either by name or say«the young blond woman.» If neither are there, we leave. Now that we get the right stylist, my son loves going there. He plays, has a lollipop during his haircut, & gets a toy after – he’s set.

Awesome place, would 5 star but the stylist dropped the guard off of her clippers and gapped my son’s head. Very cool for toddlers and baby’s the cars give you some great photo opportunities. Shop always has fun movies playing for the kids. The downside is there is usually a long wait so make sure to get there early. Update to five star because manager gave us the haircut for free. Stylist really took ownership of her mistake and got the manager without any prompting from us. All in all an awesome place for a haircut.

Cute salon and it appeals to kids with all of the toys while they wait. Younger kids sit in cars and such, older can sit in a regular chair and all get to watch movies while they get their hair cut. I never get the name of the people cutting the hair, as there are no nametags. And they are in such a hurry to move on to the other customers there isn’t an introduction. I tried getting a «mom cut» there once, but would not recommend that. After I got home my hair was about a half inch longer on one side than the other. But for kids they are fine, a little pricey but all kid focused salons are.

I have to say, there is certainly a reason we keep getting pulled to come back here. The biggest thing that draws me in, to be perfectly honest, is the adorable name. But when you get there, you realize the shop follows suit with the name as it’s set up to be adorable too. I also love all the Melissa and Doug items for sale and fun playing areas for kids to entertain themselves if there’s a wait. I’ve never seen a child not love coming here because 1) the younger ones get to sit in really cool cars, like a taxi and a fire truck and 2) every styling station has its own tv. What kid won’t sit still and forget someone is whacking their hair off while watching Brave or The Little Mermaid or Cars? I mean, it certainly works like a charm every time for my two girls. And they give them either an animal cookie or a DumDum when they are finished, so that’s motivating for them too. I haven’t always fallen in love with the personalities of the staff, but honestly, just when you think that maybe they aren’t the best to work with kids, they surprise you. Truly hope that didn’t come off as mean as what I’m saying is that they aren’t necessarily that charismatic but do a great job and understand the way kids think. A few there this last time were super cute though, especially the girl who was mostly behind the counter(but sadly I didn’t catch her name.) The prices are a bit more than I’d hope to pay, but really I haven’t compared much elsewhere so perhaps it’s all the same. For how quick they are, the convenient location at Town Center in Baton Rouge, and their fairly flexible hours, we will most certainly keep returning here.

This place actually makes me want to open my own children’s haircut place. It is always packed with an insane wait, a little on the pricey side, and, honestly, the ladies don’t seem to have a ton of «training»…but people line up to strap their kids in the little car or train seat, pop a sucker in their mouth, and let them catch a Disney movie while having their hair trimmed. I swear, I think I could hire a couple people and go for it! Seriously, though, this place is decent for what it is… they will trim up your kid’s hair and keep them occupied with treats, including a train table for them to enjoy during the rather-lengthy wait for your turn. Just don’t expect a quick stop-in most days or a special haircut – they mostly trim up spots, and, even then, I have had to return to clean it up a little the day after my husband took them in. I will say, though, that they were accommodating and fixed it right up, but some of the ladies seem to do a better job than others. Overall, we will keep returning since it works for us most of the time, but not my fave thing on the«to do» list. Oh, they also have toys and games and bows for purchase, of course – if you feel so inclined:)

Ive been taking my daughter here since she was 6. theyve always done a great job… as I cant see spending $ 30 for a child’s haircut. She’s 11 today and we’re about to go now…

If you’re coming on a Saturday, arrive thirty minutes prior to opening, because there is ALWAYS a line. The haircuts here are pretty good for kid’s cuts, and it’s very friendly, especially toward younger kids. The chairs are all fire trucks or airplanes or other vehicles. Pretty cool. We drive 90 miles to come here.

I would have to agree with the other reviews that the employees don’t wear name tags or introduce themselves. It’s super cute in there though! They have games and tv’s to keep the children occupied. Free lice checks. Woohoo! Kinda weird but whatever! I think it’s super strange when a parent sits down to get their haircut there. I’ve seen it happen twice! They have toys you can buy for your kids along with bows for the girls etc. You get a punch card and on the tenth punch, you get 50% off your haircut. They run about 15 bucks. If you go on Thursdays, it’s double punch day. Score!

I took my son here for his first hair cut. It is good for what it is, which is a cutsie salon geared towards kids. The seats(there are 3) are retro cars or a plane. The kids like sitting in them and it distracts them a bit from the hair cut. I did not find the lady to be particularly friendly. Like the review before mine, she did not introduce herself and did not speak other than to ask how I wanted his hair cut, nor did she say thank you/come again/kiss my ass. It is a bit pricy to me. I did not get their first hair cut package($ 5 more for a photo and a lock of hair – I find locks of hair creepy – reminds me of when the take locks of hair from dead people). I paid $ 17 plus tip to cut the hair of a one year old who barely has any hair anyway. It took maybe 5 minutes to cut. Anyway, if you go here, it is really for the facility with the kids chairs and the train table in the waiting room, not to make friends with the stylist. For us, this was probably just a first hair cut place. I don’t see paying that much everytime he needs ¼″ of hair trimmed, but it was good for what it was.
