Mike’s In Tigerland

Came here for the first time on Saturday after a big LSU football game and it was quite an experience. $ 10 cover fee (a little expensive or is it just me?). The inside was packed full of people, I could barely navigate. The floors were dirty and there was spilt drinks all over the ground. That aside, I still wanted to enjoy the night so I just put all that in the back of my mind.
The music was really good (coming from a male college student, other age groups may feel differently) and was fairly loud but not obnoxiously loud. The girls were disappointingly «average»; sorry fellas, if you are looking for a club with lots of women you might be attracted to, I suggest taking Mikes off your wish list.
In regards to safety? It was completely unsafe! While there I witnessed two fights, someone getting arrested, and someone running from the cops and them all getting into their cars and chasing after him, and then arresting him. I also witnessed a cop pepper spray someone and having all witnesses around coughing and sneezing as a side affect from the wind dispersing the pepper spray… All from around 12am — 2am… This was my first time at any club and it was not a particularly enjoyable one! Try others in the area before this one.

Mike’s in Tigerland is a great, quality bar to spend the night with friends. The bar tenders are friendly, the drinks are stiff, and the music is always great. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to drink, watch sports, and hang out with friends. If you want to dance Mike’s is also a great place for it. If you’re not at Mike’s are you really even in Tigerland?

By far my favorite bar in tigerland. The bartenders are friendly and you’ll always meet new people there. They throw the best concerts in tigerland too!

Disgusting, unorganized, and unsafe. A group of guys tried to beat my friends and myself up when we told them they couldn’t take my fiancé. Yes, seriously this happened among adults. Not a single security guard came to help us even though them pushed us around. After the group of future doctors (that’s a joke… obviously) calmed down I went to close my check. It took two bartenders almost 10 minutes to find my card, now I wouldn’t have been so frustrated had they not blamed me for not being able to locate it. After describing it for the third time they were finally able to find it. With all the competition for fun casual bars in Baton Rouge why waste it here? There are more fun and importantly safer clubs you can go to. Skip this place and safely enjoy yourself elsewhere.
