Established in 1985.

Originally founded by Joseph J. McKernan, admitted to the Louisiana bar in 1963 and the Texas bar in 1991. 100% of McKernan Law Firm practice was devoted to litigation when originally founded. A large portion of our practice is still devoted to litigation, we are not afraid to fight for what our clients deserve.

Gordon McKernan graduated in 1992 with his law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, he joined McKernan Law Firm and has been practicing law ever since. He is the managing partner with the firm and his primary area of practice is representing ‘ordinary people’ who have been injured because of another’s disregard. Gordon practices in all Louisiana Courts, Mississippi Courts and Texas State Courts. Gordon has been involved in a wide variety of personal injury claims including 18 wheeler accidents and car wrecks. He has represented thousands of clients throughout the state of Louisiana in cities such as Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Lafayette, and New Orleans. Gordon has personally handled over 40 cases with a verdict value in excess of $ 1,000,000.
