Cupcake Couture

I was really bummed. Went to get a snow one and they are not doing them right now. Why have signage and everything except the ice? It’s Louisiana. It’s 80 degrees in December… Trust me people will buy them year round.
Very bummed.

I recently bought two cupcakes from here to have a little cake for my boyfriend’s birthday. When we got ready to eat the cupcakes they felt like rocks! I didn’t let them sit around or anything; we attempted to eat them the same day of purchase, but that wasn’t happening. I had high hopes for this place, but was extremely disappointed.

We passed by while headed to the Apple Store, on the way back we decided to try some cupcakes. At $ 3 a cupcake I was expecting to be blown away … Instead I received stale, rock hard horrible tasting cupcakes. The chocolate tasted like they forgot to add sugar and it was so dry it crumbled into a mess.
While waiting and looking around you can tell kids are cleaning or what they think is cleaning. I recommend… RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

I am not much on sweets, and really only came here because my wife and step-​daughter love cupcakes. That being said, I must say that I fell in love with these cupcakes. They are everything I expect a cupcake to be, and then some. I was so overwhelmed by the choices, I could not pick just one and ended up with several. I felt my glucose numbers rising by the second just from the aroma. I loved watching my grand baby’s eyes light up when I pulled the first cupcake from the box. It’s those moments I cherish. This place will now be someplace I look forward to coming on those Saturday’s when we go to the mall.

I was looking for a cup cake shop with lots of choices and fresh cupcakes. I drove 17 miles to try out this shop and while it’s a cute shop with attractive looking cupcakes, I was very disappointed. I had the Peanutbutter chocolate cupcake. It was huge and top heavy making it awkward to handle and enjoy. The cake wasn’t very moist and the peanut butter inside was hard. I tasted the banana fosters mini cupcake and it just tastes like banana bread with banana frosting instead of banana fosters.

The cupcakes and cakepops are never fresh. I always think that if i try something else, i’d have better luck. But everything ive tried there tastes old or dried up. Waste of money

The cupcake craze is in full swing all over the country, and I am glad that Baton Rouge has their hands in the ring. I came here one evening, after a day of shopping at The Mall of Louisiana and decided to sit down and try some cupcakes with my bf. We ordered two red velvet cupcakes and a medium size of Banana Split Dippin’ Dots ice cream. I love the couture chic feel in here, but my boyfriend thought the cakes were a little drier than usual, and I agreed. This place is definitely not on my (OH No-​Will NOT GO) list yet, but I will give it another try. Some of the other reviewers experienced the same thing as well. So hopefully next time, I will have an even better experience.

So I love these cupcakes. The texture is fluffy & the icing is always light which I love even more. The place is super cute & clean inside. They have a lot of different flavor. Bananas foster is my favorite. Today I tried the white chocolate strawberry & cookies n cream. The white chocolate strawberry was good but disappointing because I didn’t taste any strawberry like at all. Cookies n cream was perfect though.

I keep thinking if I try the cupcakes on another day then I might get a fresh cupcake. I was wrong. I’m so disappointed in the quality of theses cupcakes. My husband paid $ 38 for 12 cupcakes on my birthday, which is fine if the cupcakes are worth it. They are not! Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Little Cakes with Big Attitude in Alexandria. I have been to Little Cakes too many times to count and I’ve never been served a stale cupcake only perfection! Never again! I’ll drive to Little Cakes for special occasions!

I reallllly wanted to like this place but I just can’t recommend it to anyone. I tried the wedding cake cupcake and although the icing was soft, the cupcake itself was dry and flavorless.
I would say the stale cupcake occurred because I was there midweek but it seems that throughout the reviews people have consistently decided that this was the case no matter what day they went.
I will give 2 stars since they now offer sno cones and dippin dots which will be nice as it gets warmer.

Lady on the phone was nice but I was disappointed in the cupcakes. I mean they were okay but didn’t live up to the hype. I’ll try the full sized one sometime but the whittles were just eh. I could have made better ones at home and saved money.

We purchased three cupcakes late on a Saturday. Birthday cake, salted caramel, and double chocolate.
My son gobbled the birthday cake and loved it. He’s not big on sweets so this says a lot.
My daughter had the double chocolate and didn’t care for it. The cake was dry and I think the richness was a bit much for her.
I had salted caramel and it was good. Caramel center which was awesome. However, the cake was a little dry also. This could be that we were late on a Saturday though.
Adorable atmosphere and the service was great!

Ooooh. so good! My little girl and I shared a cupcake here and it was delicious! I can’t remember the exact name of the one we got but it was a rich chocolate one. The lady behind the counter was super sweet and just let us linger debating and drooling over all the cupcakes. The cupcake was rich and moist but light too. Just perfect. And I believe it had chocolate chunks in it too! Can’t go wrong with that! Not to mention, the shop is small, clean, and sweet looking, just as a cupcake shop should be.

I absolutely love these cupcakes! If I had to make a decision on the best cupcake between Cupcake Couture & Sprinkles Cupcakes in Los Angeles, my vote goes to Cupcake Couture, hands down! Cupcakes are light, moist, tasty and not so overpowering with icing. They are delicious! Keep those awesome cupcakes coming!

Overall, I will go again when I want something sweet, and I am at the mall.
I have been in a couple of times, but I have only had 1 cupcake from them. You notice how it is a small shop that is very clean, and they have lots of Cupcake Couture merchandise around. They have a couple of tables inside and they had a few set up outside to enjoy the sites of the Boulevard as you eat your cupcake. I tried the Vanilla and Caramel cupcake. It was a pretty good cupcake. It was sweet, and the frosting was very soft. I hate how frosting is often hard after a cupcake has been out for a little while.
I guess I really had two problems. I was not thrilled with the prices (especially not the bottles of water at about $ 2). And my cupcake was not the freshest, which I guess could be chalked up to it being a Saturday when I went in, but I would normally expect that to be peak cupcake selling time.

I ordered two cupcakes an two drinks with a coupon.
Bananas foster cupcake– delicious, but very dense and could have used nuts. I thought the icing was nasty and didn’t eat it.
Chocolate chip cupcake= disappointing. The icing was good, but I felt like the cake was missing something. It was too blah. It was cute, though.
Service– I had a coupon, and the employee said that she was the last to know about it. Obviously, there is poor communication between management and employees.
Atmosphere– adorable. Clean and cute, and they even offer dog treats.
Extras– They also serve Starbucks coffee, milk, and Coke products in ice-​cold glass bottles.

I came here a few weeks ago to get a sweet treat to-​go after eating at Bar Louie. The 2 women working were not friendly and seemed to want me out of their store after I’d just been there for a few minutes deciding which cupcake to get. I chose a double chocolate one and once I ordered it, it was plopped into a paper bag for me take home. I am not sure why they didn’t have cups or cupcake holders– the icing was smudged all over the paper and it was very difficult to get the cupcake out of the bag without tipping it over.
The cupcake itself was nothing special either– the frosting was extremely sweet and the cake was oily.
Now that there are more cupcake places opening up in Baton Rouge I probably won’t come back to this one.

Delightful! With gourmet cupcakes on the rise in BR, I have to say that this is my favorite so far. Obviously, they’re pretty convenient to get to if you’re anywhere in the Bluebonnet /​Mall of LA area. They’re located in the Boulevard, so you don’t actually have to go into the mall to get to them. Aside from the locale though, they make a kick-​ass cupcake!
So far, I’ve tried Wedding Cake, Bananas Foster and Chocolate Peanut Butter. The Wedding Cake is a bit rich for my taste, but I am so in LOVE with that Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake! The only real issue is the fact that their menu changes daily with the exception of a few main staples. Alas, my Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake is not one of them. So, if I go any day other than a Wednesday, I’m not gonna get it. You can check their website for the daily menu and find out when your favorite is available.

My sister and I entered this little shop to take a gander at the design (branding, interior, etc.), and I must say, Cupcake Couture impressed me. The shop is quite small; it probably can’t hold more than 10 people at a time. The colors gives off a good mood, and that played well with buying cupcakes. You’re supposed to be happy once you’re in there. Anyway, I’m not really a cupcake person, but I do take a moment to indulge on the little things in life. I’ve visited a few places like Bee Sweet Cupcakes, Sweet Wishes, Magnolia Bakery (NY), Sprinkle (CA and TX), but Cupcake Couture stands out a little more than those I’ve been to.
Let’s talk about the staff! I’ll admit that the two guys there took me by surprise, but they were especially friendly and helpful. They even made small talk with us :) in my opinion, how the staff treats you says a lot about the company and its brand. 5 stars for them!
Secondly, I ordered the Cookies-​n-​Cream cupcake, and the icing on that is amazing! It wasn’t too sweet, but it still possesses the flavors needed to satisfy a sweet tooth. The cupcake itself was a little dry, but still good! I enjoyed every bite of it. My sister had their signature flavor, Bananas Foster, and claimed that the cupcake was definitely one of the best she’s ever tried. I can’t back up her claim because I don’t really like bananas, so I’ll take her word for it. I’ll definitely come back again to try their other flavors.
Btw, there is no sugar in the red velvet! Not sure if there is none in the icing, but there is none in the cupcake. Or that’s what the guy behind the counter told me haha.
