History

Established in 1995.

Computer Heaven, Inc. was started by Darren Vallaire in 1995 in a small suite at 633 Oak Villa Blvd. Back then Computer Heaven was a computer consignment shop. The entire inventory was on consignment by customers. Darren Vallaire was the owner and the only employee

By 1998, Computer Heaven had outgrown it’s space at 633 Oak Villa Blvd and a new building was built right next door at 577 Oak Villa Blvd. This new 10,000 square foot facility would replace the 1800 square foot space the company was founded in.

By this time consignment sales were only a small fraction of the overall business, so Computer Heaven, Inc. discontinued consignment altogether and focused on new computers, parts and service.

Before long our customers began asking for used computers so we began carrying used computers again. Used computer sales began to soar so we added used laptops to the mix. Today, Computer Heaven is the leader in Baton Rouge for new custom-​built computer systems as well as used (refurbished).

I started Computer Heaven in August of 1995. I was amazed at how fast the company grew. In 2003 i retained full ownership of Computer Heaven but left others in charge as I started several other tech companies including a flower vending machine business and an emergency public alert and warning system company. As of 2015 I am now back full time running Computer Heaven myself. I forgot how much I enjoyed running a retail business and have been amazed at how many customers still come in today that I recognize from when I ran the business so many years ago. I look forward to many more years of serving my wonderful customers here in Baton Rouge. Thank you so much for the support you have given us over the years.
