Born and raised in Donaldsonville on Bayou Lafourche in South Louisiana, an area famous for its rich culinary heritage, Chef Don Bergeron developed an early interest in cooking. Inspired by his ‘Grand-ma Tute’s’ Cajun home style cuisine at the age of five years old, he began his catering career by baking a batch of cupcakes in her kitchen for the
country grocery store staff where she shopped every day. Today, Chef Don Bergeron’s professional journey has secured his position as one of the premier caterers in the Greater Baton Rouge culinary arena with his flagship company, Chef Don Bergeron Enterprises Catering & Event Planning Services. With food as his passion during his childhood, Don’s real work in the industry began at the age of 14 years old, as an apprentice to Chef John Folse, who provided him with a firm foundation in cooking and in business.
