It is expensive for straightforward haircut. You don’t get a loyalty card like you do at pigtails and crewcuts and usually there’s only person working so you don’t get seen as a walk-in. As for the advantage of calling to schedule an appointment, forget it! We did that after we couldn’t be seen one day, we set up appointment for the following day. When we arrived for the 2:45 appointment she told us there were three people ahead of us and we finally left at 3:30 without a haircut! I’ll spend my time waiting at pigtails and crew cuts.

My wife made an appointment, but we were 5 min late. The manager decided to punish us by making us wait for EVERY child got their haircut before us, even walk ins w/o an appointment. 1 hour and 15 min wait! I would have told them to «f**k off», but my 6yo was here and needed a hair cut. Go anywhere else if you can.

I would say it is less than average especially given their rate schedule. You will see some«old time southern hospitality» if you don’t belong to the right demographic. So YMMV. I would look for alternatives.

I was very pleased with the service received. My son got his first haircut here and he did not cry and he was not fearful. Bonnie was very kind and gentle with him. She even offered him entertainment. The one thing I would say is that the website talked about receiving a diploma, toy and lock of hair with first haircut. I received his locks because I’d brought something to take it home with me. I didn’t really need the diploma or toy but don’t advertise it if that’s not what’s done. Who knows though, maybe they forgot. The price was reasonable. It was $ 17 for the cut. I would’ve like to be asked about their special for 6 haircuts there. I didn’t remember until I left. They need to promote themselves better in that aspect. But that’s managing business not haircutting. I will definitely go back.

We took our son for his first haircut and we were pleasantly surprised. The waiting area is equipped with toys, a wooden train set, and a separate table with books. There is a wall full of bows and headbands for little girls and another wall of toys for sale. Making an appointment was simple. We got an appointment the same day on a Saturday by phone. His stylist was Bonnie and she was perfect with him. He sat in the firetruck seat and each station has a TV. Who ever thought of this was genius. They had a large selection of DVDs to choose from. He watched sesame street and it seemed it didn’t even bother him that he was getting a haircut, or he didn’t notice because he was busy watching ernie and elmo. Great place to take your kids. Our two year old had a great experience.
