Here at Bayou Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense we take pride in our family atmosphere and put the focus on our students individual needs. You will learn how to defend yourself while getting into great shape. We provide the knowledge and skills needed to build confidence and discipline while learning respect and honor through Jiu Jitsu. We have many family’s who join our academy. Jiu Jitsu is designed for the smaller weaker person to be able to control the bigger stronger attacker through leverage and technique. Age is not a factor. Our students range from 5 – 65 years old. We offer many classes for different age groups and skill levels. Up to 8 classes per week for adults and 3 per week for ages 12 and younger.

History

Established in 2011.

Professor Kevin earned his Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Carlos Sapao Ban, Sapao was Ralph Gracie’s youngest and most technical student. Master Sapao is a legend in the Jiu Jitsu community and has passed his knowledge on to Professor Kevin, who at 49 years old, still competes and wins in Jiu Jitsu competitions all over the USA.
