The Spa at Artemis

I would not recommend this salon to anyone. The service is poor and disappointing. I went in for a full highlight and the stylist Sarah left the entire back portion of my hair incomplete. I also paid for a haircut and blow dry to leave with my hair still damp and frizzy. I should have complained further while there instead of trying to be nice. I left disappointed and dissatisfied.

I’ve always adored the image of this business. The owner creates a beautiful ambience. I’ve been a yoyo client for many years because I’m not really the apt. type of guy, but whenever I do get in, its a very nice experience. I have noticed recently it’s a bit harder to get in within a weeks time frame and wish they had one or two more staff additions to their team. Hope this local business strives with success.

I went there today for a massage and it was WONDERFUL! My mom got a facial and she loved it too! Nice people, loved the ambiance, would definately go back again!

I should have written this review a LONG time ago, but even a few years after this happened, I get upset about my experience there. I just moved home from out of state when I went to Artemis and I should have known when the girl that approached me to cut my hair was extremely nervous that my experience would not be good. I asked for some side sweeping bangs, a full color (dark brown) and a normal layered cut. What I ended up with was me hysterically crying in her chair because I was left with bangs SO SHORT that you could not pull them back with a bobby pin and red hair. The manager came over and tried to console me with a gift certificate, and the WORST thing you can say to a customer — «It is only hair, it will grow back». I will never go back to this salon, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
