We love Lumes for breakfast! Many choices for breakfast/lunch for the whole family. Usually, service and food are quick. Many refills on your coffee, too. You can usually find a coupon for $ 3 off online. It’s nice to have a Greek restaurant in the area.

Good pancake shop. Pretty tasty for breakfast food. Lots of different waffles, pancakes and egg benedict options. They will do half orders of benedicts too which is awesome. They will also make breakfast sandwiches which aren’t on the menu. You just have to ask. Parking is available. Waitress was friendly. Service was fast.

This is a great place for both the food and service. George(owner) is very friendly and has a lot of regular customers. Although we were from out of state, he treated us like we were his family. The entire staff is friendly. Food was great. We had an omelet and the Pumpkin pancakes. They were both outstanding and we couldn’t finish either because they were so big. This is a must go to place if you are in the area. The lunch items looked good too.

I’ve been to all the breakfast places in the Fox Valley area and by far this has the best food. I got the biscuits and gravy special and everything was great. I’ll be going back again and again

Very large portions and great prices. I love the eggs Benedict and the potatoes are delicious. The waitstaff is friendly in the old ‘diner’ way

Been here a few times and it’s always good! Portions are large and service is good. Worth the wait if you go at a busy time.

We come here occasionally with friends who are regulars. We always get one meal apiece, and it’s so-so. However, today, we both ordered a meal each and I also ordered the German pancakes. They were awful and we returned it. Waitress asked if we liked it and I said no. She gives us the bill, and it’s on there. Really? So we go to pay and tell the owners how we didn’t like the pancakes, and she didn’t take it off either. We will pass on this place in the future. How they’re successful, is beyond me.

We eat here all the time for breakfast on the weekends, the food comes out crazy fast and is really good, they do a nice job of getting people seated even when it is really busy.

When you go to Lumes, you should know exactly what you’re going to get from the restaurant. The kitchen staff is consistent with their preparation, proportions, and generally pretty quick with getting the food out to the customer. The prices are very reasonable as well for what you’re getting. The physical appearance of the restaurant is outdated, but that shouldn’t matter. The wait staff, however, is generally hit or miss. Last time I was at Lumes, it was later in the afternoon, and there were only four or so tables occupied. It took 15 minutes to get our check, and we weren’t impressed with the service throughout the meal. So go for the food but don’t expect water refills or fast bills.

We opted to go to Lumes instead of another popular, local breakfast place, just to try something different. We were plesently surprised by how much we liked it! I had the Club 1 meal(pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs). I like my eggs over medium and they were perfect(something I find how to come across)! And fresh squeezed orange juice… no need to say anything more abut that! My husband had the Corned Beef Hash Skillet and he said it was the best skillet he’s ever had! My kids loved their meals, also(chocolate chip pancakes and fresh fruit plate). The waitress was really nice and the food came out extremely quickly! We will definitely be back to Lumes next time we’re in town!

They may have good food but I’ll never know… called a few days before and was told to call when I was on my way to get a table number. Told my family to meet me there, I called and was told that they would not give me a table number and she was extremely rude!!! Kept repeating that they don’t make reservations. Rude rude rude! Thanks for ruining my Mother’s Day morning!

Our go-to Sunday breakfast spot. Consistently good and service is always great. Always packed but waits are never too long. Tip if you’re getting the Dutch Baby… call and order ahead of time, otherwise you’re waiting 30 minutes.

Food is all right! It’s just the rude staff especially the hostess in the morning…

Food was great and portions were generous. The only thing lacking was service(and décor is way way way outdated). We had the Breakfast Club #1 and the Symphony Crepes; we liked both dishes. The crepes were huge! I was actually expecting really small portions since other places serve tiny crepes but I was pleasantly surprised at the size and even had leftovers. However, the service needs some attention; perhaps we just had an off experience. Our server was a kind elderly lady but unfortunately, she only checked on us once, about 1 minute after we received our food and before I was able to even try my dish. We didn’t see her again till the end when she dropped off the check. We were never offered water refills and their glass size is rather small, so you run out of water quickly. One of the hostesses seemed less than enthused when we came in and had little to no expression when I asked her for crayons and a color sheet for my daughter. Rough morning perhaps? I don’t know. While it wasn’t an overly welcoming experience, the food was good with generous portions.

This place is a wonderful family owned breakfast restaurant. My gf and I go here at least once a week or so and have never had a bad experience. One of our absolutely favorite servers of any restaurant, Angie, works here and is always a pleasure to talk to and brings our drinks to the table before even talking to us bc she remembers and cares. The serving sizes here are very large and my gf and I share a skillet which comes with gluten free pancakes and it is the perfect amount of food for two people. The kitchen is nice enough to split it in the kitchen and each half still comes with two eggs so you are basically getting a smaller but still filling meal. Overall this place is great for the money and somewhere I’d highly recommend for brunch.

My son and I have found our new breakfast spot! Recommended by a «foodie» coworker of mine, we were in the area Christmas shopping and decided to pop in for a late lunch. The boy got a Breakfast Club #1, which included three pancakes, two eggs any style, two sausage links, and two pieces of bacon. He definitely didn’t finish it all, but said it was the best breakfast he’s gotten at a restaurant! I got the Signature French Toast, which is cinnamon swirl French toast, covered in bananas, blueberries, and strawberries. The fruit was super fresh and the French toast was amazing! They serving sizes and prices were great. Oh… And FRESHSQUEEZEDORANGEJUICE!!! Get a large! Amazing!!! The service was great! Even though the place was packed, our waitress, Kelly, made us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant. That was nice! She made us feel right at home during our visit. I’m excited to head back to try more items from their HUGE menu! They have a skillet that I’m dying to try!

Nothing was bad but this place and their food are dreadfully boring. For my $ 40 we could’ve gone to Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans and fed another person. Did I mention the food was really boring?

Breakfast places with coffee to make me happy are rare. This place knocks it out of the park. So, yeah. Coffee is what inspired this review. Those of you who understand will just understand. Fresh juices. I’m drinking fresh squeezed grapefruit at the moment. Dutch baby pancake with berries. Mmmmm. Incredible breakfast selections. Good service. Spacious. A very happy find.

First time here although my iPhone totally gave me wrong directions and took me to east side of fabyan. It was extremely busy but we were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and restaurant was very clean. My daughter ordered cheese omelette and I had Aloha omelette. We love to eat and the portions were huge, they also give you pancakes which were also delicious. My daughter said it’s the best omelette she’s ever had. My omelette was made with egg whites and it was pretty good. Lastly my OJ was freshly squeezed and that’s surprising nowadays but well received. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area and affordable for big families.

Pancakes! German, baked apple and Swedish all tasty. Call ahead to preorder the apple pancake if you are in a hurry. Nice to see real strawberries in my kiddo’s strawberry crêpe. Can’t wait to go back to try more from the menu. Noticed they offer gluten free pancakes.
