Justin B.
Business Owner
Justin Burwinkel, a native of Southwest Ohio, prides himself as being both a celebrated artist and an accomplished academic. Currently, he is immersed in doctoral level studies in the field of Audiology at the University of Cincinnati. It is there that Burwinkel now pursues his lifelong devotion to «creative science» engaging in out-of-the box research in the world renowned UC FETCH~LAB (Facility for the Education and Testing of Canine Hearing & Laboratory for Animal Bioacoustics).
Science conducted creatively – it’s the award winning approach that Justin takes when conducting both his photography and academic endeavors. Always looking to history, he points out that «Prior to being an accepted form of ‘art,’ photography, itself, was taught as a science.» He notes that the synthesis of the otherwise distant fields provides a strong contrast, yet comforting tone, to his work in all of its forms.
