Business Owner
Born in Wisconsin in 1947, Gerald moved to Hyland Park at the age of 1. He and his family moved to Bedminster, NJ at 14 and eventually graduated from Bernards High School. In 1967, Gerald started his apprenticeship to become an optician at Deuchler Opticians. After 2 years, he continued and finished his apprenticeship at Manhire Opticians. Gerald received his optician licensing through the Macon Georgia Tech in 1974. Two years later, Gerald opened his own optical store in Basking Ridge, NJ. This is the same town where his mother and stepfather had their own real estate business. Gerald is commonly seen in the front of the store with a full smile and displaying his congenial charm.
