The tea itself tastes good. But the real problem lies within the teabag. The teabag is made from plastic which has bad chemicals in it. I have endometriosis which means my body produces to much estrogen and plastics and other chemicals pesticides ect. make it worse. I have a bunch pain from it and if you’re going to sell a product that is «Organic» then keep in Organic! Its a joke to have a good product that leaches out chemicals when you want to enjoy something healthy. Completely defeats the purpose. And the reason I bought it in the first place is because pesticides make your estrogen levels go up. DONTBEFOOLED. Get with the program tea people. Waste of $ 9.

4 stars for marketing, but a slight notch below my favourite, Higgins & Burke. It’s just as flavourful/strong, who knows if it has anything to do with organic. Oh well, it’s still repeatable. Kudos for its compostable packaging. Since 2004.

It’s an understatement to say im a fan of black tea. In fact I have a liter bottle of iced black tea next to me as I type this. Two Leaves’ Assam is some good stuff. Dark and hearty but still smooth on the palate. Id say the Earl Grey is a close second on the teas I’ve tried. However they have an Oolong that I still need to try which well may surpass the others if the quality is as high

This is the tea we use at our coffee shop in San Diego… It’s REALLY good!!! Lots of flavor. We’re always trying to make sure we are getting the best for our money and for about 5 seconds we tried a local tea supplier but found out that not only did our customers hate the«new supplier» but wouldn’t order tea until we brought back Two Leaves & a Bud.(now called Two Leaves Tea Company). So the reason for the 4 star over a 5 star is that they changed their shipping company and now ship from ??? Timbuktu??? it takes a really long time for my order to get to me. Which is REALLY Irritating considering it used to take 24 — 36 hours to receive before the switch. Bummed about that. Aside from that, I love this tea.

I like these teas. The Peppermint is particularly good prepared as some kind of iced concoction. Good summertime beverage. I like that they have a «Knowledge Center» on their website. Very nice wide selection of teas, including organics. Sometimes I’m a little too rough with their delicate sachets and bust them open by accident. Careful. If you like tea, you should drink tea. Some of these teas are a pretty good place to start. If you like movies about tea or even if you just like movies, you should watch the Les Blank film All In This Tea.(This is just a shameless plug for one of my favorite filmmakers and doesn’t really belong in this review.)

I had the privilege of trying Two Leaves & a Bud’s teas at the Fancy Food Show in SF just last week. Of all the hundreds of tea vendors there, TL&B’s tea’s stood out the most to me. Phil was manning the large booth set up with his aromatic teas. The two teas for taste? Jasmine green tea and Assam tea, which Phil described as a perfect breakfast tea. Indeed it was. It was my first time trying assam tea. It’s a full bodied tea from India with almost a malt like flavor, yet still light in the palate. The color is bright and I’m sure it would brighten my day if I started with a cup of this. One of my all time favorite teas is Jasmine green tea and I’ve had a lot of it in my lifetime! I drink tea everyday and i prefer it unsweetened. One sip of TL&B’s jasmine green tea and I honestly wanted to walk back to the booth with my cup for a refill. I ate so much during the fancy food show and had a blast sampling all of the sweets and savory, but i kept craving the tea! I still find it hard to find quality jasmine green tea in sachets. Luckily I know where to get my tea now. You can find them at their website or most Whole Foods Locations! Phil was also one of people I met at the show that was genuinely nice and fun to chat with. Its interesting to me that there are some people who you talk to and they just bring a smile to your face and brighten your day. Phil is that kinda guy! Thanks for the tea tasting!
