d’Elissious

I’m not a cake person. Elissa’s signature white velvet cake is TO DIE FOR. She’s so creative, and has such a wide range of artistic expertise in cake design. We were very happy with our beautiful wedding cake, which we ended up upgrading at the last minute. I really enjoyed working with Elissa; she and her staff really did an incredible job.

My oh my! I have a new favorite cake and it’s all the way in Aspen, CO! :(
I take cakes very seriously. I do cake tastings for birthday cakes. No big deal.
On a recent trip to Aspen we were celebrating a birthday in our group and I took it upon myself to order the cake. I came across d’Elissious through a friend who lives in Aspen. I visited there website and left a message requesting a cake for 4 days later. I got a call back and ordered a 6 inch golden velvet cake.
The lady was very friendly and delivered the cake to our hotel for a small delivery charge.
It was simply done in white with a «Happy Birthday» inscription. BUT what I really want to tell you about, and the whole world about is just how amazing this cake tasted. Holy Cake Gods! This was the BEST cake I have ever had. It was a sour cream cake with cream cheese frosting. The whole group agreed that this cake was straight from the heavens.
It was so good in fact, that I dragged the left over cake all the way back to LA. On the plane. Through security. Totally worth it. I finished the entire thing.
She will ship but it’s super pricey… I just might do it at some point!
