Starlight Donuts

I have bought doughnuts here twice … The first time the donuts tastes like the oil they were cooked in was old … Gave it another shot and still tasted nasty …

Perfect pit stop on my way to Vegas with friends! The lady at the counter was super warm and welcoming. I love their crullers and apple love boats! This is a must-​go pit stop on the way to Vegas :) parking is easy and the donut shop is accessible!

Dropped by here on the way to Las Vagas to grab some breakfast. Donuts is freshly made and workers are really friendly. This place is opened ²⁴⁄₇ too!

I had 2 donuts, the maple bar and Bavarian crème both were absolutely fantastic. Also the man behind the counter gave me the most incredible customer service I’ve ever experienced. Starlight donuts will forever be my number #1 choice for donuts.

What’s with all the bad reviews? The glazed twist I had was downright delightful. Didn’t get to check out anything else but on the strength of the twist alone I’d expect great things from anything else on the menu.
It’s true they did have relatively little to choose from, but this was at like 10:30 am, I expect the selection to be pretty picked over by then.

Good coffee. Nice people. Fairly decent donuts. Homeless shelter is across the street. The deranged, prostitutes and druggies linger about. Trippy place to sit and just observe while sipping your coffee.

Boo. Came here at 9 with a late night pregnancy craving because Unilocal said they were open until midnight. However when we got there, there was maybe 5 donuts. Asked him if he’s gonna make anymore anytime soon… Nope. Well I took my pregnant a** to frostys. Lesson learned.

Bought a glaze donut and a cruller. Both tasted really greasy and the cruller was super heavy. Also decided to purchase their eggrolls if you can call it that. Just a microwaved greasy mess. Location is also sketchy.

Stopped at starlight for the first time. Donuts looked yummy. I bought several donuts and a dozen donut holes. Hubby said the donut holes were… alright.
The regular donuts I had… were horrible … They tasted like they were fried in cheap old oil… nasty!

Living here in Barstow, I have to say that this place is below average! Every time I stop in to get donuts they are always empty, no variety, and lousy customer service! When I ask what is a good time to come back to get donuts they never give a straight answer or a specific time… it’s almost like if it’s a big mystery. When they do have donuts made (which is rare) they are only average, so me personally staying away from this place!!!

On my very first road trip with my kids back in 1997, my car broke down in Barstow, if
I called my husband only 130 miles into the trip and told him the car broke down I would have been told to come home.
I had to get my car fixed somehow. Barstow is an ugly dry and miserable place but the people are very caring. I got my car fixed a homeless man living at the Rescue Mission fixed it for me and when I offered to pay him he refused and said he would take me and my kids to dinner and if we would have dinner with him that would be his repayment. So this man who spent the day in the desert sun took me and my kids to his Rescue Mission for a free meal. Not a thing I ever planned to do in my life but it was an interesting and educational experience and some of the food was actually not horrible.
While my car being worked on we had donuts at Sunlight Donuts they were very affordable and something about the dessert air makes them stay crisp and fresh. a decent variety
I have been stopping there for many years now. Sometimes I buy an extra dozen or two and give them to the homeless people hoping it will brighten up their days and repay the kindness once shown me.
And these really are my favorite donuts.

Okay, it’s actually not as bad as I had originally thought. I bought a donut there and it was seriously yummy but it also gave me horrible heartburn.
