Ecce Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I frequent the Catskills, be in near the Delaware or the Hudson, and I can honestly say the Ecce is the nicest, most accommodating, most beautiful place we have stayed! Alan and Kurt are the most wonderful hosts in the world and they have thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay beyond comfortable — I’d say, they made it downright special.
I should also say that we came up this time looking at buying a house in their county, and they took some much time to share their knowledge with us, and answered all of our questions truthfully, and generously (and we had a lot of questions!) Their experience running the business, in this area has just paid off tenfold, and their guests see that benefit again and again!
Other points of note: the breakfast was amazing, and we didn’t need lunch until about 4pm since it was so much food! The view — obviously was amazing. The mattress and PILLOWS and sheets were super comfortable. Their artwork, and the way the house is kept is just beautiful, and their guest reception around sunset was an added bonus that we wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else!

Wow. What a place. This is our second visit to Ecce and we were amazed all over again. The place is absolutely beautiful. Both the house and the view. Allen & Kurt are absolutely the best hosts. The food is fantastic. What can I say? If you get the opportunity to stay at Ecce you will feel comfortable and well taken care of. I wish there was a way to award more than 5 stars. If you know me, any review is rare, but Ecce is simply the best bed and breakfast experience we’ve ever had!

Visited for a second time. As expected, all was great. The view, the rooms, the ambiance, the meals, are all beyond expectations. The attention to details, and providing a wonderful guest experience shows in everything about the inn. The breakfasts will be the best meal of your stay. Yes, there are decent restaurants in the area, but the breakfast is that good. But the best, the hosts, Alan and Kurt. Their welcoming and friendly manner, makes them more like old friends. While still there, began considering when we can stay again. No doubt we will return.

Amazing place. The hosts are the best part. Every detail is accounted for. With incredible views, really comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and great hiking on premises. I can’t recommend this place enough. I can’t wait to come back. The wife and I had a great night.
Side note: motorcycle friendly but make sure to take upper corkscrew road and not lower cork screw road.

I’ve stayed in couple of other B&Bs before but this one so far is the best! The location is perfect for re view. And the view itself is worth coming for!

This establishment is the true definition of a diamond in the rough. We wanted to try a new type of weekend getaway and decided that for my birthday a B&B was worth a shot. This place is a convenient 2 hour drive from the city however I would suggest traveling while it’s still light out because we arrived in the dead of night and the roads are very very dark. Walking into our room we were shocked by how nice, clean, well appointed, and large it was. The bathroom was just as nice and had all of the toiletries you could need. The complimentary bottle of champagne was a very nice touch for my birthday. Waking up, the view is only rivaled by one thing and that is breakfast. Kurt really puts his heart and soul into creating a meal for you that will leave you stuffed until lunch.
Kurt and Alan really go out of their way to get to know everyone and make everyone feel at home. They have activities available on site (hiking, scavenger hunt, bird watching) and are always available to give suggestions on things to do in the area. Or feel free to do nothing, while enjoying the sounds of nature and the crisp mountain air.
Seriously one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.

Our first B&B experience, and I am so sure that nothing can top this; THIS ONE’S A KEEPER!; Warm and fun hosts, deliciously prepared dishes, immaculate rooms and and its breathtaking views from every angle of the house., did i mention that they clean each room twice a day, first when guests are having breakfast and again, turning it down with a complimentary chocolates when guests goes out to dinner
We love our Host Kurt and Alan, they are the sweetest. so knowledgeable and very engaging, always a pleasure talking with them. They are so attentive to detail when it comes to their food preparation and presentation, you will not just feast with your eyes but will end up with a very happy tummy because the food that they serve are just so delicious! I am practically drooling right now as I type, we couldn’t wait to go back, seriously!
My hubby and I were already planning our next trip to ECCE while we were driving back yesterday. See you soon!

Absolutely the BEST B&B I’ve ever stayed at. Great hosts, food, location, atmosphere, views and experience. I have been here twice and each time, it was wonderful. We love the hosts, they make the experience absolutely memorable. The love what they do — catering to their guests — and it’s apparent with every detail, like the evening bed turn down and the chocolates on your pillow! They have a Keurig beverage maker in every room, along with a small frig with waters and sodas and a basket of snacks.
The breakfast they serve is 5 stars, hands down. They are known for their delicious omlet or french toast b’fast, served in an individual corning dish along with potatoes and juice — and meat if you want. The 5pm cocktail is so fun — most every guest comes down for it and hangs out for an hour or so, getting to know one another, chatting & laughing, Of course, the host — either Alan or Kurt — or both, joins in. They serve beer and wines and make a delicious homemade appetizer each evening! They offer suggestions on what to do, where to go, etc. And give you the menu to place your order for the mornings b’fast. The B&B sits 300′ off the cliffs overlooking the Delaware River… how beautiful and wonderful it is!
