History
Established in 2003.
After graduating from the University of Illinois, Tom Hopkins began his architectural career with a small home design firm and high-end kitchen designer in Rockford, IL. He worked for two other small design firms until receiving his Illinois Architect license in 1982, then started his first firm, Thomas M. Hopkins — Architect, in McHenry, IL. The office in McHenry remained open until 2001, designing over 150 residential projects and 100 commercial and industrial projects in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
From 2001 to 2003, Tom Hopkins was the Architect for Woodhouse, a design and build timber frame company based in Mansfield, PA, performing various design functions, including original custom designed projects and adapting homeowners designs for timber frame homes.
TMH Architecture was founded in 2003 by Tom Hopkins
