Designs by Janith was founded in 1991. Specializing in creating beautiful, custom designed garments including wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and gowns, special occasion garments, christening garments, and costumes. Designs also offers Home Decoration and Professional Alteration Services.

Sewing Lessons are offered to adults and children. Classes are arranged to fit the needs of the individuals.

Business Owner

Co-​owner of The Sewing Tree, llc, Janith offers comprehensive sewing instruction for all ages and stages of sewing: hands-​on workshops and event planning for retailers, teaching skills that bring fun to every stitch, embroidery, embellishments and technique. Her sales background is a bonus in promoting profitable classes. Designs by Janith, llc, custom sewing since 1990, has shown alterations to be a unique education for classes in reconstructing garments, recycling and «fix, fit and flatter». A Master Certified Sewing Educator-​SEA (2008), a contributor to Threads Pattern Review since 2003, a Trained Sewing Educator/S&CA since 2002, and 4H educator.
