I’ve been seeing Dr Tabak for 13 years now — I even kept him when I moved to MN because I couldn’t find anyone as awesome!
Dr. Tabak has a great, friendly personality, and he remembers you and your details «Did you graduate from NIU yet?» He’s found mistakes that other optometrists made, and he actually listens to you and your concerns.
They’ve had the same great and friendly staff forever, and a good selection of eyeglasses. They know that I’m price conscious (due to my status as a college student), and they’ve always been helpful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them. Their new office location is by Heinens, and while traffic can be a bit squirrely on Hough (as anyone in/​who drives through Barrington knows), compared to their old location, there’s a LOT more parking! I’ve found that as long as I take Hough St southbound, I can easily drive up the right turn lane and turn.

Very pleasant experience with recent eye exam and eyeglasses purchase here. Brand new office space on Hough, nice office, nice location. Friendly staff, state of the art equipment.
