History
Established in 1880.
In 1806 the Barrington Library Society was formed.
In 1880 the Town of Barrington accepted responsibility for its first free public library.
In 1888 the library shared space with town offices, high school, Antiquarian Society and a one room jail in the newly built Town Hall.
In 1984 the library moved to its current home at the site of the former Peck High School located at 281 County Road.
