Description

Specialties

We specialize in Fine Dining in a Romantic and slow pace setting. We do not cater to infants and toddlers where we attract folks that celebrate special quiet times away from their children. We have an extensive Beer and Wine List with a Full Bar… Large Menu of Non-Alcoholic Beverages and a Variety of Teas and Coffees. Desserts are made from scratch on premises and we use the best of ingredients being very careful to avoid harmful chemicals… During the warmer seasons, we use local produce… A Lovely place to dine!

History

Established in 1987.

The Gothic revival on the North end of Barre common at North Park was vacant for 1 ½ years before I bought it and started renovating for a Bed & Breakfast Inn. The original owner c.1834 was James W. Jenkins, a local businessman/entepreneur and thus the inn was born… The Jenkins Inn. I ran the B&B from 1987 – 1994 without the restaurant and decided that Barre needed an upscale restaurant after The Hotel Barre had burned down in 1990. The restaurant opened in 1994 and has been successful to this day.
