Cape Cod Community College

Yesterday I had the oportunity to present as a guest lecturer for a course at CCCC, and I was amazed at how interested the students were in learning the material.
I took some courses at CCCC before starting my undergrad at UMass Amherst but my experience then is definitely not similar to my most recent visit. The Dean and staff here have done a great job of revamping courses and have also taken the time to update many of the classrooms.
Overall, I was impressed with CCCC and I hope that I have the chance to spend time on their campus again!

I attended a private school and another community college before applying to the CCCC nursing program. I loved it at CCCC. The professors, advisors as well as the office staff were extremely helpful. Whenever I needed anything they would try hard to get me the information or help I needed.

4Cs or «U-​132» was where I started college. From there, I transferred to the Rochester Institute of Technology, and later attended Bentley University for graduate school.
Eight years later, I still remember most of my professors. The faculty was surprisingly good! My favorite classes were astronomy, communications, ethics, and uh… yoga (90% women, can you blame me?).
Parking can be challenging, especially as the Cape’s population increases. But, its really not different than any other school. There used to be a disc golf course behind them, which was shut down years ago due to many drinking-​while-​golfing incidents.
The café is ok (Mm grilled cheese…) and the library is a hidden gem. It’s probably the biggest library on Cape and the best place on campus to study. I seem to remember there is is a fireman’s pole between floors, or did I just make that up?
Tip: If you’re looking to speed up your path to a bachelor’s degree, look into CLEP tests. They are basically multiple choice computer exams that earn you college credit. You can take them at 4Cs. They helped me get my associate’s degree in 1 year.
