Description

Specialties

Pete’s was founded to provide a safe, permanent haven for rescued animals as well as a place for people to come into close contact with and learn about animals they may not otherwise see. Our animals include llamas, emus, exotic birds, goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits and miniature horses. We would love to show you and your family around and introduce you to our residents so that you can call them by name. You are welcome to bring fresh fruit and vegetables and Cheerios, or you may buy feed from the vending machine for $ 0.50 per bag to feed the residents. Group tours welcome, but please call in advance so that we can be prepare for you. Stop in Morin Fireworks, make a donation and bring home a peacock tail feather or check out the earrings made with feathers from a variety of our exotic birds. We are a non-profit organization and operate strictly on donations, but there is never a charge.

History

Established in 2010.

We started out just wanting a little petting zoo. We had two rescues that closed after we started the petting zoo, and took in as many as we could. We are a non profit and never charge to visit. This is a great place to spend time with family and friends. The schools schedule field trips, senior tours, This is just a great place to learn about animals and interact with them.
