I just moved back to Bar Harbor after being gone for almost two years, and my previous stylist never got back to me about getting a cut. I’m so glad that she didn’t because then I never would have had the chance to meet Jefferson. He was so wonderful to get me in today because I just couldn’t stand it anymore and even better to just wing it without a picture. I described what was bugging me about my current cut and told him that I trusted his expertise. He just went with it and gave me a beautiful, fun and feminine new cut that I absolutely love! I can’t wait to get a color and cut with him next time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

While on vacation in Bar Harbor I decided to treat myself to a mani/​pedi. Echo Salon was right around the corner, and had good reviews so I called for an appointment. I was able to book day I called and was very pleased with my experience. The price at $ 65 for the mani/​pedi combo was a great deal. My service provider gave my feet, ankles, and calves a bit of a massage and wrapped them up warm damp towels for a spa type of experience.
A really lovely atmosphere overall and quality service. Two things though: 1, you can tip on a credit card which is insane and ends up cheating the staff in the long run, who cares cash? 2. I wasn’t totally blown away by the polish selection. It wasn’t horrible, just okay. But, if I find myself back in Bar Harbor in need of nail service I would definitely come back here.

Although the place was beautiful and super convenient since I’m in town for a wedding, the fact that the woman behind the bar snubbed her nose at me for — gasp! — wanting acrylic nails, and went on to actually scrunch up her nose as she said, «You know, everybody’s moving to more organic, natural-​looking nails,» was bad enough. But then when it only took me two seconds to Unilocal a nearby nail salon in the next town over who didn’t judge me for my nail choices (seriously?! Is this a thing?), which she could’ve easily done when I asked her if she knew of anyone else who did do the «A» word, just about sent me over the edge.
If I would have had time to get them done in California this week, I would’ve. But I spent all day yesterday either flying, sitting in airports, or driving to and from them to be here for my best friend. I just wanted to be able to get them done before the rehearsal dinner tonight. And you just couldn’t be bothered to even ask.
It’s called customer service for a reason. I don’t expect you to provide all services, but you should be able to treat a potential — and now, never — customer with a little more decency than that. Shame on you, ECHO. And thank you, Sassy Nails.

I just got the best haircut at Echo from Alyssa! She did highlights in two different shades to add volume and trimmed up my layers without losing any length (I told her I was growing it out). She finished up with an awesome blow dry — she stayed late on a Friday (I think) to take care of me and didn’t rush at all. She was a pleasure to deal with and the price was very reasonable for the service. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent Experience with Echo Salon and with the Owner Jefferson. This place is first class. The owner is from New york City. The place is a perfect blend of the talent and work ethic of a native NY’er with the peace and tranquility of what Maine is all about!
I love the organic product lines. my hair never felt so good. for $ 32.00 i was given an exceptional blow-​dry that lasted me 4 days. The ower even gave me (a stylist myself) tips I didn’t know on how to preserve my blow-​out even longer! they worked!
I really enjoy getting pampered from time to time as one who pampers others 6 days a week and its very rare I get that WOW experience as i have tricky hair to do. i loved this place and will be back. my mother in law also experienced the salon and loved it just as much! Do your self a favor and treat yourself here!
