For 18 years Atlantic Climbing School has offered world-​class rock climbing courses on the coast of Maine. We specialize in instructing first-​time climbers. Half day and full day courses are available for individuals, couples, families and groups of all ages and ability levels. All of our staff are certified AMGA Instructors and Guides and we are proud to be the only guide service in Maine to have this distinction.

History

Established in 1994.

Atlantic Climbing School (ACS) is a seasonal, rock climbing guide service based in Acadia National Park and Camden, Maine. For 19 years ACS has specialized in small, custom rock climbing courses for individuals, couples, families, and groups. With our focused curriculum, at ACS we orchestrate rock climbing courses that routinely exceed our client’s expectations.

Meet the Business Owner

Eli S.

Business Owner

Eli Simon is a Certified AMGA Rock Instructor and owner of ACS. Eli began climbing in 2000 in his hometown of Camden, Maine. Since then, he has climbed on every continent except Antarctica, including 8 big wall routes on Yosemite’s famed El Capitan, Fitzroy in Patagonia, and first ascents in Patagonia, Mexico, and Newfoundland. Besides climbing, Eli has sailed extensively, including a transatlantic crossing in 1999. Eli is a graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Eli is a Certified Wilderness EMT, and an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor course provider.
