It all starts with a caring, knowledgeable team who will provide you with a thorough exam and cleaning. For x-​rays, we follow the guidelines set forth by the ADA and the Maine Board of Dental Examiners to diagnose underlying tooth and bone loss concerns. A full set of x-​rays, including a panoramic x-​ray, are taken once every 3 – 5 years. Bitewings are taken annually. We work closely with the Bangor Dental Hygiene School as a more cost effective option for patients to complete their x-​rays. Ask us about: sealants, fluoride treatments, Cerec crowns, whitening, composite and amalgam fillings, porcelain veneers, crowns over implants, inlays and onlays, full or partial dentures, bridges, Invisalign/​Clear Correct for invisible braces.

Established in 1994.

Dr. Michele Spekhardt has been providing exceptional dental care for 20 years! Dr. Spekhardt earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in 1984 and her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1990. After graduating from dental school, she started practicing in Brooks, Maine at the Jewell Dental Clinic. In 1994, she bought this practice from a retiring Bangor dentist.

Dr. Spekhardt feels it is important to stay on the cutting-​edge of dentistry. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-​to-​date on the latest techniques and technology including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy for Sports Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Maine Dental Association and the Penobscot Valley Dental Society.

In her free time, she volunteers with Donated Dental Services and enjoys the University of Maine ice hockey, continuin
