Urban Chic

We liked it but didn’t love it. There were definitely some maybe items, but they were out of our price range. The sale section looked like a good place to start. There was one dress we liked that was just too big. If you are on a mad hunt for clothes, i would definitely stop in.

This store is amazing! The selection is great and it is easy to find cute, trendy items for any event. I recently purchased a pair of fleece lined leggings that I will be sure to wear all season. The buyers here have an eye for current trends and designers. Even when I just go to browse, I never walk away empty handed. The staff is patient and beyond helpful. I was looking for something to where at an event out of town and they helped me find the perfect look. Urban Chic is a must stop when you are in the area!

It is way easy to drop way too much dough at this shop. And that’s a good and a bad thing. Good, because the selection in this shop rocks! Bad, because my bank account doesn’t always support my taste level. And also, I have a bit of a problem discerning between «must-​have» and «wish I could have»…
I accompanied the bf on a work trip to Bmore, so I spent the day shopping while he tended to his work duties. Having long been a fan of Urban Chic, but having never visited this location, I obviously put this on my must-​visit list prior to arriving in Baltimore. Best decision I could have made.
The inventory is awesome — the buyers certainly know what they’re doing in choosing a variety of fashion-​forward and classic styles with some fantastic accessories thrown in. I scored a printed Leona halter dress, perfect for a garden party or a romantic evening out; a Greylin LBD with fantastic lace detail wrapping from the shoulders to the back, a timeless Rebecca Taylor (oh, just my favorite designer of all time) number and an Urban Expressions handbag. Yea, I done good.
It would be very difficult for me to enter this store and leave empty handed. So my advice to anyone contemplating a visit? Make sure you’ve got some cash money burning a hole in your pocket because: You. Will. Spend. It.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this store! I love this place. Unique, stylish, this place lives up to it’s name. I love the Hunter boots. I think every girl should have a stylish, functional pair of rain boots! It is pricey but the quality and unique selection is there to back it up!

From weddings to wine bars, Urban Chic has got clothes for every occasion and many dresses that can actually transition from one to the other. You wouldn’t know that at first, of course. Upon first walking in, it just looks like a high-​end Abercrombie and Fitch. Not that there’s anything wrong with Abercrombie, but 1) that’s not my style and 2) it’s chain-​y and I don’t really fancy a lot of chains when it comes to my clothes (unless there are small chains or having varying selections from store to store like Urban Outfitters can, etc). The good news is that even though it looked like an Abercrombie, that’s where the similarities ended. Urban Chi has a lot of sophisticated style, but is still young and fresh (think 20s and 30s, not teens). I was really surprised by all the awesome dresses and the QUALITY of the material. Lots of times nowadays you get trendy styles, but the material falls apart after a couple washes. Even dry cleaning can take it’s toll. I could look at the clothes here and know that would not be the case.
In addition to having women’s clothes, there are also a lot of graphic tees for guys which were pretty cool. The last time I was there which was a week or two ago, they were running a sale of 20% off full price and 40% off sale prices. I know there were just trying to get their summer clothes out of there, so if they are still there, you should go and snatch them up.
As for the service, I found that the sales associates were extremely friendly and greeted me within a second of me walking in. It’s a small bit of courtesy that goes a long way since many places don’t treat their customers that way nowadays.
**note** This store has a handful of baby items as well which are über cute. I saw a couple of clothing items with funny sayings like «I did a twozie in my onesie» and «I happened in Vegas.» It’s my sincere wish that one day I will be buying the latter for my future baby! lol!

I love this store. They have a larger women’s selection than men’s selection but the guy’s clothing they have is really good. It’s the only store in Baltimore, that I’ve found, that carries Chip and Pepper jeans for men. They also carry Rock and Republic, AG, Joe’s Jeans, and they just recently started to carry Vineyard Vines stuff. They carry men’s shirts, shorts, ties, and sweaters as well.
The store is very clean and styled well, the staff is super helpful, and they will also hem your jeans for you (the girl that does the hemming, Alex, does a terrific job).
Definitely check it out if youre looking for some new threads.
