The bomb-diggity!!! Authentic Mexican food made from scratch, packed with loads of flavor. If there is one dish I had to highlight, it would be the mole sauce they make from scratch, using 32 ingredients. Everything was really delicious and it is now my go to place for great Mexican food. If you’re looking for the real deal, cooked by folks who hail from Mexico(imagine that?), this is your place. And it’s really affordable. The décor is a little scary. Looks like you might get sick by eating there, but it’s fine! Sit down and enjoy. Also, it’s BYOB. But there is a liquor store a block away.

This is a wonderful easy-to-miss understated place has had a name change, I believe, to Rincon del Tamal. The taste is undeniably un-corporate and the prices are affordable. They have a variety of unique sodas as well. If you like mexican, stop in – if you don’t like it, I’ll finish it for you!

Tacos, burritos, salsa, and tamales! Try the mole poblano tamale for a taste of smokey delicious flavor. The tacos come with cactus and grilled onions as well as salsa. Very cheap, and delicious. Just hungry writing this review.

Placed a call for delivery, I wanted food from some where new, and probably Mexican. A quick search, and few reviews later I found, Tijuana Tacos. I called to place a order for delivery. The service was fast and friendly, and it wasn’t too difficult to order. I tried their tacos, which by the way are regarded as authentic Mexican and are true to their claim. Delicious carnitas, and juicy thin sliced chicken were my choices. They do also have an array of options: grilled beef, grilled chicken*, carnitas*, marinated pork, beef tongue, and a few others. They are served with cilantro(lot’s of it), onions and two styles of salsa. Ones was a verde mild salsa, and had a lot of cilantro and heat; the read salsa was more of a chili based salsa and had medium fire, both seemed home made. My order came in less than 30 minutes, as quoted and the driver was friendly. Overall I am satisfied and i’ll likely be returning to, Tijuana Tacos.

I like all the Tijuana Tacos locations in that they don’t pretend to be something there not. It’s just home cooking at it’s best(even at this location in Fells Pt/Canton). They stay true to their roots. I’m a big fan of the carnadas tacos. The chips I swear are laced in crack and the salsas have such great flavors. You can really tasty the smokiness in them. Great for cheap eats.

Yum! I was craving rice and beans so I did a quick Unilocal search and found this place, 1 mile away from where I was working. I found a menu online and placed an order to pick up(as the reviews said the restaurant wasn’t exactly the ideal place to sit down, and when I walked in, I decidedly agreed with those statements). I asked for rice & beans and two spicy meat tacos. The tacos were really good. I loved the doubled-up corn tortillas that were surprisingly tender and didn’t crumble or break, which is something I’ve experienced time and time again with corn tortillas(even at an awesome taco joint in Puerto Rico). The seasoning of the meat was perfectly spicy in that it added flavor and didn’t burn my tongue. Both the green and red salsas had a nice bit of spice to them and they had a great texture; when I added salsa to my taco, I didn’t have a bunch of liquidy juice spilling out. I thought the bit of lettuce and cilantro sprinkled on top was the best accompaniment. The portion was also really generous; they definitely didn’t skimp on the meat. As for the rice and beans, they totally hit the spot. The best rice and beans I ever had were at the Grove Farmers Market in LA and this was a pretty close second. The rice was fluffy and nicely seasoned and the beans were tender and full of flavor. I’m glad I’ve found a place to satisfy my rice & beans cravings.

My brother takes his Mexican food as seriously as most people take their jobs. He considers himself a connoisseur, a knight on a quest for Great Tacodom. I made the mistake of moving a block away from Tijuana Tacos, which has consequently designated me as his go-to grub-buddy. The following is a random sampling of his latest requests for me to squire him about to food fiestas. Sunday 2:47PM: «Hey sis, want to get some Tijuana Tacos sometime this week?» Monday 11:13AM: «Rach. TACOS. Tonight. Get some.» Tuesday: 3:05PM: «I will be in your area in 3 hours to get Mexican food. JOOOOIIIINMEEE!!! :D» I reluctantly succumb, and we meet up after work. T.T. is not the sort of place you walk by and think ‘Oh I have GOT to get me some of THAT!!’. However, as is often the case, appearances can be deceiving. We started with the chips and salsa: fresh crispy tortilla chips with salsa roja, salsa verde, and guacamole. The salsa roja is smoky and robust, with a moderate kick of spice. The salsa verde has a tangy almost pickled note, which works perfectly with the savory red salsa. We ordered tacos as our entrée(obviously, when taking into account my company), and I tried one chicken and one spicy meat. The tacos come out with 2 fresh tortillas, the meat tossed with onions, cilantro, and grilled onions, and radish and grilled cactus on the side. Be sure to doll up your tacos with the lime and chunks of radish: they add the perfect fresh, citrusy crunch with a hint of bite. Both of the tacos were mouth-wateringly delicious, and very authentic, but I was completely taken with the spicy meat. The seasoning has so many layers, and makes for one terrific taco. Since my first visit, I’ve returned twice, once getting the spicy meat taco, and the second ordering the enchiladas. The enchiladas were out of this world. The sauce was fresh and picante, drizzled with delicious queso blanco and topped with crumbled queso fresco. They are a must-try. Overall a great place to swing through, or order in(they deliver!). It speaks well of T.T. that my salsa-savvy brother has labeled them as «the best Mexican» he’s ever had. Delicious authentic Mexican food with fresh ingredients and wallet-friendly prices. Highly recommended for Mexican enthusiasts.

Moving to Baltimore from San Diego, I was sure I would never find that local, authentic burrito/taco shack here. But on a recommendation, I gave Tijuana Tacos a shot and it is definitely my new place for reasonably priced, quality Mexican to go. Ambiance is what it is(12-year-old son of proprietor loves WWE wrestling, from what I could gather). Great food, nice owner, not overpriced. My food was made to order. Perfect for what it is.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. I live up the street and get take-out from here all the time. I have had tacos(all different kinds) and the burritto. Both were AMAZING! Tacos come with a side of grilled onions and cactus — sooo good! Very authentic! When you call for take-out they answer in spanish. so you know you’re gettin the real thing!

Amazing authentic Mexican food. Mole poblano tamale is out of this world. Best consumed with a mango Jarritos.
