Southwest Airlines Cargo

Usually like the flights but why get excited about 15 min early if we have to wait another 50 for our baggage! Thanks for that wait BWI and SWA

Damn. Spoke too soon. Headed to my destination was status quo, great. Headed back? Not so much. I am all about Southwest’s atypical, informal rapport with customers. It’s what makes it like flying with friends and not like just flying with some sterile mega company. HOWEVER, my flight from Buffalo to Baltimore last night (Flight #733) was NOT an enjoyable experience at all. One flight attendant in particular started out with a dose of semi-​comical snark and graduated to full-​out rudeness before we even took off — all over the loudspeaker, mind you. Perhaps it was her schtick like the rapping flight attendant, but after a long wonderful long weekend with everything beautiful and relaxing, hearing some lady bark orders, threaten people for leaving electronics on (before actually finding anyone disobeying the initial instruction, by the way), and then telling us what her «daddy told her when she was 18: to get your stuff and get out,» it was all too extra and set a bad tone for the flight.
I asked one attendant as I was de-​planing if the flight attendant was always like that she she tried to act like she didn’t know what I was talking about. I actually smiled and told the flight attendant in question that she should smile and brighten up next time. She smiled then which made me think that she really was under the impression that the rudeness was funny. Sorry. It passed funny after the first five snarky statements. By the sixth, you had really rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. You should have heard the murmurs through my section. Everyone was put off. Either folks wanted to run off the plane or throw her off!
Anyway, the experience was worth updating my previous review and taking away a star. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen again.

With a dedicated cargo crew at BWI the on-​time performance was lacking on Monday, September 26. Arriving at 930pm passengers waited until 1015pm at the baggage claim to pick up their luggage. Perhaps the influx of flight arrivals on the same time played a factor in the delayed. Fortunately I picked up my luggage along with the fragile material inside unharmed!

Grrr where the hell is my luggage tag? You lost it?! Gahhhh! I’ll live. Thanks.
