This is okay store but once I seen the broken glass for the chicken and beef for sale I kinda freaked out. What happens when glass gets into your product. Please fix your stuff before one of your costumers get hurt.

I really love SFW. It has come a long way since the I remember it in the 80s. Its large, organized, and clean. Prices are good and they don’t require some stupid fake-me-out let-me-track-you club membership to get their sale prices. It was after one of our 2014 icy-snows and I was shopping for something quick for the kids to eat and the deli counter lady was so nice to help out and throw her two-cents in. I wish I lived closer to SFW.

As a recovering York Rd, Giant customer, I really like this place. In fact, I didn’t realize how much I disliked Giant, until I started shopping here. I can park close to the entrance, it’s rarely crowded, the place is very clean, the carts are new, the produce is good to excellent, and the the prices are generally lower. And every once in awhile, they carry excellent bargains. I still visit Eddies and Trader Joes’ to round things out, such as butcher, deli, cheese. but I had to do this anyway at Giant. I recommend people check this out.

I used to not think much of Shoppers but now since I am closer to it, it seems to be the place that I shop more often than anywhere else. I find there prices to be pretty good most of the time but I don’t think they really have alot of sales compared to Safeway and Food Lion. The cashiers are very friendly. I disagree with the other reviewer about the Safeway cashiers and think they are friendly as well. This grocery store is in a shopping center with an Office Depot, Home Depot, JoAnn Fabrics along with other stores and restaurants so it’s good for 1 stop shopping.

This is my preferred neighborhood grocery store. It competes with the Safeway just across the street and a Mars and SuperFresh, each about a mile away in opposite directions on Joppa Road. This store was recently remodeled and has a much better utilization of space than before. Their produce is usually fresh and I have never had a problem with their meat or any of their generic products. Their pharmacy is efficient and the hours are good, although I do not think they keep enough staff near closing time which can lead to long lines if, like me, you like to go buy food at 10 or 11PM. I also appreciate the fact that you do not have to be a member of some«secret club» and carry a card with you in order to get their best prices. The store is small compared to grocery meccas like Wegman’s, and their selection of nonstaples leaves much to be desired, but as a neighborhood grocery store it works very well.

Far better than the Safeway across the street and I base this almost entirely on service. While the workers here do not go out of their way to help, they aren’t miserable jerkoffs either. The deli is close to the front door so its easy to get in, get your cheese, and head right for the express line. The store itself is not quite as large as other grocery stores. Its almost life the Quickee Mart of supermarkets. There is a cashier named Jim(he works at the Milano’ Restaurant down the street too) who he is always pleasant, fast, and friendly. One drawback is the shaving razors. They keep them in a locked display case so you have to push a «Customer Service» button next to it to get a employee to open it. The light on it will blink and can only be turned off by the staff. The first time I used the button, I stood there for 10 minutes and nobody ever showed, despite an automated overhead announcement that said«customer assistance needed in personal care.» SO, me and the wife go here a lot and on every visit, we hit that button and, everytime, the light continues to blink because nobody ever shows up to turn it off. I’d say we’ve done this 12 times now. Now thats just pathetic. However, overall, I’ll take SFW over the alternatives.
