Segs in the City

I called about a tour but didn’t receive a call back. Then I booked online Saturday night for the 2:30pm tour on Monday. I received a confirmation email. Then I received a text at 10pm Sunday night stating since there was only 1 person in my party they couldn’t take me, they needed 2, and could I join the 10am one. I replied back that wasn’t enough time for me. I didn’t get a response back. Very poor communication.

Great views of the city. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave great information on the city. Even gave us an extra 15min to show us everything

Anxiously we approached the Segs in the City tour building, not sure if we, two women of a, ahem, certain age, would be able to master the gyroscopic wonder of the Segway but our fears were for nought.
Our tour guide, Corey, spent 15 minutes explaining how to ride and even let us practice, within five minutes we were ready to tool the streets of Baltimore on our Segs in the City tour. The Segs tour is unique in that you can cover a lot of ground far more quickly than walking without mindless windshield time and no time constraints to get on and off a bus or having to lock up our bikes every few minutes.
Our tour guide was informative, lively and personable. For the next 90 minute we hit all major points of the city e.g., the building where the flag was created, 9 – 11 memorial at the Baltimore World Trade Center, Federal Hill, Fells Point, Inner Harbor, etc. The guide knew his facts and eagerly shared tidbits about the city’s history and current events.
Segs, located in Little Italy is very easy to find. There is a relatively inexpensive ($ 8/​day) public parking lot at the corner of South Albemarle and we easily snagged a spot. Our reservations were handled seamlessly and but for signing a small amount of paperwork — waivers and what not — we were ready to ride as soon as we arrived. I do recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your tour time so that you can complete the paperwork.
If you’re looking for a unique tour to get an overview of Baltimore than I highly recommend Segs in the City. They are reputable and professional. Bonus Tip: Vaccaro’s Italian Pastries is across the street for a post-​tour treat!

Quite possibly the coolest tour we’ve ever done! I loved the adventure of a Segway while seeing the sights of Baltimore and learning about important landmarks. It was so much fun!

You start in Little Italy; then hit the pavilions at the Inner Harbor. Zoom up to the top and all around Federal Hill. Down the hill and back to the Inner Harbor and across to Fell Point then back to Little Italy. The tour takes about 90 minutes. And all on a Segway, which was much fun to ride. Segways are simple to operate with a less than 10 minute learning curve.
Our guide Cory was full of Baltimore trivia that I never heard and I was raised here. I had fun and so did my 14 yr old niece from California.

WORST SEGWAY TOUR COMPANY EVER
Booked online for a tour and showed up 20 min early to check in. Meet the young man who was working the desk and he advised us that we shouldn’t have been able to make a reservation online due to close to check in time. He was very rude by his comments and his attitude. After asking him if he really wanted to take us on the tour he stated «it’s my job». With that comment we turned around and left. Customer service is so important in this day and time and this was very POOR for no reason!
