Patapsco Flea Market

Ok this is my spin! Great buys, bargain prices! Got Avon products. Caress soap, air wick refills, and a backpack with matching wallet! Came with $ 100. Left with $ 40! Take a good attitude and look for great buys! I only go every 6 months! Now let me drive back out to the county!

It pains me to write this, because when I was a little kid. I used to come here with my mom and find great stuff, cheap. Not so anymore. If you want fake leather and racism. This is the place to come. Seriously, never was I made to feel so uncomfortable last time I went, which was just last Sunday. Everything is ridiculously priced and if you are white, forget about anyone giving you the time of day. It’s just so sad because this place used to be awesome. The last straw for me, was walking past a table with a slew of movies on it with several titles warning you about «The Evil Jew» along with posters mocking the star of david. I am Jewish, so this was so offensive. I let one of the managers know how I felt and they said pretty much «Oh well, don’t come back» It was then I passed by a Muslim Prayer Room and it all added up. I wish this was the market of my youth where everyone got along and had fun and made good finds. Those days have long passed. Don’t bother coming here.

For those that don’t have time to read what might be a long review, I will say this about Patapsco Flea Market: AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!!
If you are looking for a flea market where you can selectively browse tables and booths full of merchandise, without being hassled by the vendors then this will not be the place to go. However if you are looking to be stalked constantly with people hassling you, and trying so hard to get you to buy something that they come off as sketchy, then by all means you’ve found the right place.
You will not walk more then 10 feet through the door before someone tries to sell you something, and then for the next hour and a half you will be approached an average of 2 times every 8 minutes. If you even look interested in a booth for a moment, and the vendor catches you, they will instantly start trying to sell you stuff.
Also there will be people standing in your way every step you take, and they will look at you like you’re crazy for saying excuse me. There will be random shady (as hell) people posted up on the wall, or inside of doorways that aren’t even vendors, that will try to make a quick buck off you. You will not, let me repeat WILL NOT peruse, browse, quietly observe, become curious about, or even attempt to show any sort of interest IN ANYTHING without receiving some sort of pitch, and if you do then that means they are watching you like a hawk, and everything you pick up you will receive a short report on.
I can honestly say that though you may actually find a good deal here and there, the culture in this place has the swag of the dude who watches you break a bill through the window of a gas station, and then asked you if you have any change on the way out. Maybe even worse the guy who knows you just purchased a pack of cigarettes and has the balls to ask you for one before you even open the pack.
This place would be amazing if the people inside of it would just shut up, and let you look at what they have to offer. I mean it’s supposed to be a flea market, and nobody just goes to a flea market with the intent NOT to spend some money. I spent a good part of my trip just trying to look at a few things and duck the vendors. I had a rapper try to sell me on him being the best thing since sliced bread, and sell me his album which was not in plastic, and copied on a burned cd, but had somehow managed a gucci mane feature, but couldn’t manage a legit case with a bar code, or a placement on itunes #FOH. I wouldnt come back to this spot if they paid me. Don’t forget to bring your .25 cent entry fee either, you actually have to pay to be disappointed at this spot.

Pretty good flea market. I’m here now typing a review as I’m walking through lol. Lots of deals and bargains. I generally come out here for my scented oils and incense. You can find everything here from clothes, bikes, and shoes to books, computers, instruments, and electronics. Prices are very good. Vendors are very friendly. The food court is always packed although I’ve never tried the food. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid. Great place to check out on the weekends. Lots of parking available. $.25 to get in and you’re good to go!

It is in the hood… so dont expect it to be an «upscale» flea market… if those exist…
it was simply a flea market… which a lot of junk and some treasures… basically I just described a flea market…
Yeah not much to say… other than you have to come here at least once…

Oh how I love coming here on the weekends especially on a sunday afternoon

This is not really a flea market really. This is a professional setup with stores and everything.
Flea markets are generally mom & pop stands. Not professional stores everywhere.
Anyway this flea market mostly caters to the general area around it which is low class brooklyn. So mostly all you will find here is car audio gear & low class looking clothing.
I hate to say this but i’ll most likely not be coming back here. Also just for reference. They even charge money to get into the place. $ 0.25 Per person. lol.

I still can’t seem to get the stench out of my nose. It was HORRID! The hubs bought some cologne and then we wasted about 40 minutes wandering around this crappy excuse of a flea market.
It was cheap knock offs and pushy sales people. I can’t imagine this place being any fun for anyone. Even if you do find a good «deal» I bet it falls apart or breaks pretty easily.
I would stay away unless you REALLY are bored and have nothing better to do. Oh and if you’re looking for a crap ton of shea butter. They apparently have cornered the market there.

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews about Patapsco Flea Market. Maybe I have limited flea market experience, but I thought it was decent. I didn’t have high expectations in the first place, so that could also tie into my rating.
This place is huge. It only costs $.25 cents to get in, and they have all kinds of stuff. Of course there are a lot of knock-​offs, it’s a freaking flea market. If you want REAL discounted name brand merchandise, go to Nordstrom Rack, or look on ebay.
I enjoyed looking around, but I’ll continue to do my real shopping elsewhere. Again, don’t come here if you are expecting «deals» on name brand stuff, but if you have some free time and want to explore check it out!

This flea market seems to never end! There’s a 25 cent entry fee, but there is also an outdoor flea market (which is like a bunch of yard sales behind a gate) room after room after room of vendors, a huge food court (for a flea market) full of different Chinese food vendors and a taqueria, and decent people watching.

Endless amount of junk that is way overpriced. Like most of the reviews state, only fun if you like to people watch or have absolutely nothing else too do with your time. I personally prefer the dollar store over this place.

Now this place is a Sunday must do for the entertainment value! There are some characters at this place. that’s for sure! As far as stuff. the inside goes on for miles, almost like a mall. It’s filled with knockoff purses, clothing, shoes, electronics, etc. I think the deals are on those outside booths. We got a $ 150 tool for $ 30! Also I walked away with a pretty cool ring for $ 8.
It’s a flea market! You never know what you might find. I am with Jon B. below, it’s a fun experience. Go at least once just to do it.

If you are bored, if you like to people watch, if you are into buying knock off handbags, clothing or jewelry, than this place is for you. Patapsco is a urban flea market with plenty of stuff to buy from socks, shoes, sunglasses and tons of discount electronics like cell phones, car radio etc. Very unique group of people shop here!

Great food, prices good deals sells live crabs and steam shrimps

A complete dump of worthless junk. At least admittance is only .25, yes, ¼ of a dollar. Will revisit again only to survey the outdoor vendors, which were absent today given the temp.

This place is a shithole with cheap Chinese junk.
God I cannot stress the shithole quality of this dump. And I went before the raid on it, so maybe its a little better? But after the raid, they probably have nothing to sell.
Seriously don’t call yourself a flea market if all you sell is brand new knock-​offs.

On a Sunday when you are «godless» you need a place to go. Patapsco Flea Market is a fun stop on the «day-​trip» days.
I have never been but I like Flea Markets and the such. I am a huge fan of the ones in Pennsylvania as they also have Amish Markets in it.
This one does not. But that is okay. We did go on a Sunday so I believe the Flea part of the market probably wasn’t as big as it usually was. The indoor space was really big and went on and on and on. They had a lot of clothing and jewelry. There was also a guy with a Spider. (It scared the crap out of me)
Most of the place was fun. And I did enjoy the break in their food court.
it got a little repetitive after a while and could use for more variety.
There is one place in there called Sassy Cathy’s and I plan on going back many times. She rocked my socks!
This place was not completely what i thought it was but it was still fun and we had a good time.

Patapsco Flea Market just got raided today by Federal Agents and Homeland Security! Lolllll
Most people go here for cheap, inexpensive, junk. Some people don’t care and others know that most items sold here are Knock Offs. Everyone isn’t rich, so, if you can get by with bootleg name brands more power to you. For others it’s against the religion to were bootlegs. Ie. Nike sneakers but nothing says Nike on the inside of the shoe., from a distance who knows all of that though.
Anyways a 2 year invesigation lead to a raid on the place and they swiped any and everything suspected of being fake, like sports apparel, perfumes, shoes, hats, toys, handbags, etc etc… damn near the whole site. Some vendors may get lucky if they’re legit, but this place may be shut down until they scope everyone. Maybe it’ll end up being a fish market or farmers market!

What a strange place… It almost feels like going to the third world coming here. Lots of knock-​offs and other knick-​knacks to peruse. The $ 0.25 entrance fee was kinda weird. Absolutely worth the trip for the Bawlmer experience. Check out the bingo hall across the parking lot.
