Party Dress

Let me start this with this place has a shockingly large selection! i discovered it walking down to fells point and stopped in a couple other shops that were quite small but it was to be expected with all the little boutiques around. There’s a lower level and an upper level. They also sell shirts and cardigans as well as shoes and accessories, anything you would need to construct a whole outfit. Everything is relatively on the dressier side but I had no trouble at all finding a dress fit for my night on the town. I scoffed to myself when I saw the sign behind the counter «stylist of the day» but the girl who helped me really knows what she’s doing. She asked me what I was looking for and my size and promptly found me 4 awesome dresses (she went straight to the sale rack first too, always a plus when they’re not trying to swindle you into buying something super pricy) she set me up in a fitting room and also gave her personal opinion when I came out to look at them on me. Overall it was a really awesome experience and it was just like shopping with a girl friend. Only down side is it was so painless and fast I had expected to spend an hour or so in there and I was in and out in under 20 minutes! Love this place

Great store that is fairly well dedicated to its namesake, the party dress. Basically, all of downstairs has your party attire covered. Upstairs is a bit more on the casual side. I definitely saw tons of cute, trendy apparel and jewelry and since it was quite big, it didn’t feel crowded, though there were lots of patrons.
Though I felt a little pressured by staff, most of the staff was friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning.

I love the bright colors and the concept of the store. However, I’m the type of person that likes to browse on my own and pick out things to try on. The sales people there are super bubbly (nosy) and try really hard to compliment (assuming to sell the product). Looking at the quality of the clothes, I feel that the cost is much higher than the quality that they are selling. I ended up buying a dress and a top that are cute, but even on clearance I felt were overpriced. The dress was extremely thin and there was no hem at the bottom. It was jersey material so was just cut across. The top I really like though.

I would never shop at party dress again. They have the worst return policy. I shop at nordstrom and have the best return policy. If you don’t like the clothes or dress that you bought than you can bring it back and return it and I will get my money back.

I was not even greeted when I walked which immediately turned me off! I don’t care what you sale, if I don’t feel welcome I will not spend a dime!!! Do better!!!

I love this store when I need a dress for a special occasion. The sales girls are always very helpful and I usually find a dress I like. Unfortunately I had a bad experience last time. I found a dress I liked on sale and it was the last one in the store! It was $ 45 and on sale 50% off. The girl went to ring the dress up and somehow lost the tag. Another girl came over to ring the dress up and I finally paid and left in a hurry since I was running late. I later realized they charged me $ 59 for the dress with the discount. I understand this is only a $ 10 difference, however, I went back the next day to ask if there was anything they could do about the mix up. They told me there was nothing they could do and that the tag on the dress was wrong it was $ 59 not $ 45. I was offered store credit if I wanted to return the dress but nothing make up for the difference. I’ve worked in customer service and retail for many years now and I couldn’t believe there was nothing they could do for something that was their mistake. I’m very disappointed by their customer service and will no longer patronize this store. Make sure to check your receipt before leaving this store!

I LOVE the clothes here! Something for any occasion! They even do girls night out events. The boutique is huge and very organized. The sales girls are beautiful and very helpful. I am greeted as soon as i enter and not hounded during my visit but someone was always really available to answer a question.

When I lived in Baltimore, this was one of my favorite places to shop and browse. Moved away, alas, but whenever I’m back in the B I come here. Last visit I got a whole bunch of stuff — spent more than I should have! But everything I got looks really great, and the quality is perfectly fine for the prices. I was there by myself for over an hour, trying on tons of stuff, and the ladies were very helpful and friendly. Honest, too — they told me when they thought a piece was unflattering.
Caveat emptor: they don’t do refunds. It says so at the register. So don’t complain when you get your purchase home, decide you’ve changed your mind, and demand your money back. Calm down and take the store credit; surely you can find something else you like there.

Still out celebrating my month of birth and what not. I just happen upon this little spot. I see a sign for CLEARANCE (one of my favorite words btw) and I just have to stop on in.
I was expecting a small boutique like some of the others in the Fells, but boy was I wrong! Holy Moly Batman, this place is huge! A huge sales floor of items, there was an upstairs too, but it was blocked off on this date.
Up front are the new items, which by the by I loved. But you see, clearance always wins with me, and that was in the back, jack.
There were dresses, skirts, shorts, tops and bags galore! I had way too much fun! I found several dresses that tickled my fancy. I was so pleased that the things I saw didn’t look like they came out of your typical mall. Score! I swear some of the boutiques have similar read: the same items this one was totally original.
Everything on clearance was HALF OFF!!! Chilllleeee I almost had a fit!
The staff were so cool and helpful, I can’t wait to return.

The sales associates were all very helpful and welcoming! One lady helped me pick out dresses for a friend. I brought my friend back to the store a couple days later and she ended up buying a beautiful dress! I will definitely be coming back to shop for myself.

We read about the great reviews on this store so my daughter and I checked it out today. We loved it! What a great selection of dresses… some dressy… some casual… all were unique with great prices. Jocelyn was super down to earth and helped us out a lot with our selections… highly recommend this place! Loved Fells point overall… lots of character!

Love this place! So many dresses, all different styles. I bought one for $ 82 and dang I looked good at that wedding– if I do say so myself! ;) But really, great selection, even though the top floor was empty– like it was blocked off so I couldn’t go up there which was disappointing. But it did force me to look at everything else more closely which led me to the above mentioned dress. A fitted, knee length, sleeveless dark blue/​teal dress with a sort of crochet/​lace type overlay that was longer than the sheath so there was a really cool scalloping effect at the bottom. A little bit sexy but still fun and easy to dance in for the wedding! I got so many compliments!
The saleswoman brought everything into the dressing room for me and waited outside to tell me what she thought of each dress (I know it’s probably just a sales trick but she was really nice and honest when she liked one better than another). So the service was great, the selection was cool and even though I didn’t stick to my budget, I was really pleased with what I got!

Four stars for their massive selection of dresses. Don’t write it off right when you walk in. You might have to do some digging, but you’re guaranteed to find at least one gem.

The prices here are really not terrible, although from the outside it looks like an expensive boutique. Most dresses are around $ 100, which was my price limit for my New Years Eve dress, so I thought I would give it a try.
They had a ton of casual dresses and not many dressy ones for NYE unfortunately, also, they have way more than just dresses here and even two stories full of clothing!
I HATE how they have curtains hanging as their changing rooms (loss of a star) because someone almost walked in on my multiple times and there are no mirrors in your personal changing room, so you have to come out and walk over to the mirror in the middle of the room. It is awkward if something looks weird on you, I was slightly intimidated to continue trying stuff on and having to show it off in front of people walking by.
However, that instantly changed when a lady that worked there saw me and started talking to me about my selections and what I liked and didn’t like, she helped my pull a lot of other dresses to try on and helped me easily eliminate ones that didn’t work. I guess that is why they make you come out of your changing room, and I was SO happy that she helped me! I picked two beautiful dresses (one for New Years and one casual dress, AND a pencil skirt).
SO, two dresses (one for NYE) and a skirt, all were from the 50% off rack, my total? $ 130. I was SO HAPPY I practically skipped out of the store.
Be careful of the quality of some of their dresses, they are not made of great materials always, the two dresses I bought were both fully lined and wonderful quality that I am really happy with.

I have been here a few times and I always go straight to their sale rack where u can find cute dresses for as little as $ 20. They have a lot of cute clothing but some of it is a bit overpriced in my opinion.

I’m typically not a fan of the style of clothes in Party Dress at all, but I’ve never reviewed because I don’t feel like that’s the point. If you don’t like pizza– you don’t write one-​star reviews of every pizza place-​right?
But on a recent trip to Party Dress, I decided to give the place a chance. I was desperate for a dress to wear to a wedding that weekend and was willing to branch out a bit. I figured– this place is huge– there’s gotta be ONE dress in here for me that will fit my body and be cute and appropriate.
The part that frustrated me was that when asked for help (which I was, promptly and nicely) I explicitly said that I needed a dress for a FORMAL wedding. Meaning black tie optional. Two sales girls were on the case and began scurrying over to me with patterned, cotton, sundress-​y type things. I politely explained (again) that the wedding was formal. I decided to elaborate: «The bridesmaids are in gowns. The groomsmen are in tuxes. These are cute– but I can’t wear a cotton sundress. Thanks, I’ll just look.»
They were still so eager to help, which I appreciated-​but they continued to bring completely inappropriate selections to my dressing room. At one point, a salesgirl brought me a cotton romper. Honestly, I would rather hear «We don’t have much formal stuff right now– mostly sundresses, sorry!» then have to continually veto things that are stuffed into my dressing room. It makes me feel bad and it makes me feel like they aren’t listening to (or caring about) a word I’m saying.
As someone who worked retail for 10+ years, I never NEVER get snippy with salespeople, but when one of the girls brought me a white, cotton, eyelet sundress, I had to get a little impatient– «Not only can I not wear cotton to this wedding, which I’ve now said several times, but it’s WHITE! Are you listening to me AT ALL?! It’s a wedding!» Good grief.
Party dress is not really my style; many things are cheaply made, and frankly, in my opinion, just not cute. The salesgirls are very sweet were just stuffing my dressing room full of stuff in hopes that I’d buy something… anything…without listening to what I actually wanted and needed.

OH NO. A store of dresses is one place I need to stay FAR, FAR away from!
Two of my friends and I were ambling through Fells… I knew of this place and I’ve avoided it because I love dresses and I love to shop, two things that generally give my wallet anxiety, though I myself am usually quite happy with new clothes. ;)
One of my friends insisted we «go look.» 45 minutes later two of us walk out with a bag. I was not the empty-​handed individual.
I will say, I did get one KILLER dress for what really wasn’t that bad of a price, and shoppers of the world, I am of the bargaining kind.
Staff was friendly, they even offered to steam my dress for me, as it had just come in the day before and had those hard-​set wrinkles from being packaged.
Anyway this place is cute, I’ll definitely go here again if I’m looking for another dress!

Thanks to Elsa M’s review and much to my boyfriend’s delight, I now have found a new place to shop! After brunch at The Point on Saturday, I dragged my boyfriend to Party Dress and told him that I must take a look inside because of all the awesome reviews I read on Unilocal!I walked inside and I was not disappointed. From the outside, the store seems like it is yet another little overpriced Fells Point boutique, but once you step inside, you would think you were in a two-​level Forever 21 at the mall, without the clutter. I couldn’t believe a huge store like this was hidden and tucked away in the city.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a sales associate asking if I was looking for anything in particular and we exchanged in a friendly conversation for a few minutes. She told me to let her know if I needed anything and then I browsed the store on my own while my boyfriend sat on a couch for the next sixty minutes. I noticed several bored male significant others on various couches spread throughout the store and laughed to myself while perusing the racks.
I must have looked at every item in the store twice, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything and every time I picked up a dress and walked away from its rack, a sales associate was there to take it to the fitting room for me. Customer service is a lost art, but the employees at Party Dress have found it! Other reviewers seemed to think that the employees were watching their every move out of suspicion, but I took it for attentiveness.
When I finally finished looking, I walked to the fitting room and tried on my six dresses that were waiting for me. Every time I came out of the fitting room, a sales girl was there to watch and tell me how the outfit looked or ask if I needed another size or style. Had my wallet allowed it, I would have walked out with all six dresses, but I narrowed down my selection to two and walked out of Party Dress a very happy girl.

Well, well, well. what do we have here?! Seriously, Party Dress? You were hiding all THIS inside?! Who knew?
I stopped into Party Dress since I was next door anyway at Mr. Yogato and there were a couple cute dresses in the window. That’s it. I expected a small boutique since the sign outside was simple, the name wasn’t flashy, and the store front looked pretty small. However, when I walked in, I swore I had entered a shopping heaven: a store the size of a freaking mall, but with the styles of an elite boutique. I’m serious… everywhere I looked I saw a new dress or style I had yet to see anywhere in Baltimore. You can tell that the buyer or buyers Party Dress gets its merchandise from shop throughout the world by just the type of jewelry and dresses you find, many of which I’ve never seen elsewhere… at least not of this quality and style!
Sales Associates Hailey and Kristin were complete dears and helped me navigate through the expansive selection of dresses. They were so helpful and knowledgeable about the styles and the boutique itself, I ended up talking to them for like 45 minutes!!! Since I am going to countless weddings this year still, I need a stockpile of go-​tos and they had a couple of dresses that could be converted and help me out a little more. The age of social networking is seriously limiting my wardrobe. Who wants to be photographed in the same thing twice within a few weeks of each other? Now I know how celebs feel! LOL! Thank God Party Dress had the solution.
There were plenty of styles to choose from and even more on the way since the store gets new merchandise three to four times a week! I am coming back alright… with my hubby in tow and a pretty little smile that I hope works magic on him. Mama needs some new party dresses from Party Dress!

I have bought several of those adjustable/​versatile dresses from this store and they are my favorite dresses to wear when I travel. You can get like 20 outfits from one dress for $ 60! LOVE it!
They have little but of everything from cute flirty dresses, to casual stuff and a bit of club gear. They also have some very nice colors that you might night find anywhere else.
In the back, near the fitting rooms, they’ll have a few racks with some items on sale from the previous season. I always check here because sometimes you can find some good stuff with a good deal.
They have an upstairs area where they have shoes and home stuff. I only took a peek because we were hungry and needed food. But I would love to browse upstairs and check out the jewelry and accessories that they have.
If you are shopping in Fells, this place deserves a stop. As you know if you have shopped in Fells, parking is horrendous. The parking garage on Thames Street is probably your best bet.
