Nick’s Farm & Crab Market

Been going to Nick’s for 4 years and the place stay busy with folks calling for orders. If the phone lines are busy keep calling as the crabs are always what they say. They have NEVER ket me down and great service. Crabs are great!!!

These crabs are the best! You can definitely taste the difference between Maryland crabs and crabs that come from other states. I love that you can tell them what kind of seasoning you’d like on your crabs. And the corn is out of this world! Lately is hard to get through and place an order over the phone but I feel lucky when I am able to get through to them.

There are so many seemingly sketchy places to buy crabs that talk a good game but turn out to be not so amazing when you open the bag. That’s why it’s great to find a place that’s the real deal. Bought Nick’s crabs today, and they were all legit. Came out steamed at the agreed upon time. Heavy and seasoned perfectly. Plus decent prices. I’ll be back.

Omg crabs are so good and meaty! Call ahead and reserve your crabs as crabs this good don’t last long. Go ahead and get the small because so full of meat you WILL NOT be disappointed! BRING CASH! No credit accepted.

NEVERR disappointed by Nick’s. The owner is a very honorable guy. He does not lie when he says EVERY crab has a good weight to it! I have gone back at least once a week this summer and gotten sizes from their «small» $ 38’s (which are more like the market mediums to me) to their Large’s (which are like the market «Jumbo’s»). Nick’s has found a life long customer in me.
Also, do NOT miss out on the corn! It is DELISH!!! They steam it with old bay. Before you shuck it wipe the old bay off of the outside and save it to rub on the corn itself. You will not be sorry!
Be mindful, this place is CASH ONLY and they take orders beginning at 11am. They do take in person orders before they begin to answer the phone so if you are really wanting crabs that day you should take the time, go when they open, and place your order there. They DO SELL OUT on the weekends!

Best crabs ever!!! My wife and I are crab addicts, so we have had crabs from many many places. Nicks is by far the best crabs we have had and the best price. We bought 2 dozens of crabs and they were big for 38 a dozen which is excellent. Some places charge 80 a dozen for the size of crabs we got and are usually no where near as meaty as these crabs. Every single crab will hefty and filled with lots of meat and the flavor was absolutely the best. Nicks crabs are also extremely fresh, inside of the store you hardly smelled crabs, and the car was not left with a crabby smell. Nicks is our new crab spot, they will see us at least once a week!

Best crabs in MD, and it’s not even CLOSE. Heavy, meaty and juicy pretty much sums up our first experience with Nick’s Crabs… we will be back… OFTEN!

After an unfortunate and unexpected closing of our normal place to get crabs, we decided to give Nick’s a try based upon some recommendations from friends. Ordered 2 dozen of their 48’s (which is the «medium» size — there were cheaper and smaller crabs, and more expensive and bigger ones.) Got there a few minutes before I said I’d pick them up and they came out, fresh and hot, right at 3pm.
I’ve been eating crabs since I could walk, so about 25 years. My Mom is a seafood aficionado and has been eating Maryland crabs for over 50 years. HANDS DOWN these were the best crabs we have had in a long, long time. Every single crab of the 24 we got was meaty, steamed to perfection and delicious. Not a mushy crab in the bunch. I also liked how Nick’s gave the option for a little bit of spice, a medium amount or a lot/​hot spice. We opted for the medium amount. Had some rock salt in it too, which really tasted great.
10/​10, we are certainly going back to Nick’s and have found our new crab place. Thanks, Nick’s!

Hands down THE best place to pick up crabs (now don’t go getting ahead of yourself there). But seriously, if you are going to bring crabs home Nick’s is the place to get them. And if you’re deciding between Nick’s and Captain Dick’s down the road there’s no comparison. Rarely have I ever gotten a mushy crab and usually all of the crabs have both claws. I like the spicy seasoning too. Makes my nose run after eating just one.
Reasonably priced and easy to stop in and pick up. I recommend you call ahead and give them the time you want to stop by. They’re flexible and easy to deal with. Oh and cash only. Smart people.

I picked up crabs from Nick’s on Memorial Day this year and they did not disappoint. Per usual, the crabs were meaty and fairly priced. More than that, the ladies and gentleman that I talked to were so nice. It was crazy busy but they didn’t treat me like I was a nuisance for bothering them with my business like a few other places I have been in the past.
