Mick O’Shea’s

Mick O’Shea’s is always our go to place to relax and enjoy good beer and good food. Service is always great and a friendly environment. One of the few places open during the epic blizzard of 2016.

I no longer live in the area, but I still make it a point to visit O’Shea’s every time I am in town. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years now, and I’m happy to say that it’s just as good as it’s ever been! The Monday night burger + beer special is still an excellent deal, and the price has remained at $ 9.

Great vibe. Great prices. Live band was fantastic. Staff was really friendly. Dive bar feel. Good food. I really enjoyed my time here as a tourist. Lots of locals.

The crab soup was incredibly thick although it tasted OK. My friend had the chili and she said it was bland and didn’t finish it. The cheese quesadilla app was tasty and fresh.

Happy hour special are good nice chill spot in the city. I recommend the salmon blt sandwich was tasty

Fantastic burger, awesome service. First time in Baltimore, and they kicked it off well.

Mick O’Shea’s has standard pub fare and typical drafts on tap. I sat at the bar and got a Black & Tan and the Bangers and Mash. The food was pretty good, no complaints. The service was attentive and it wasn’t too crowded. It seems like a pretty laid back place to catch a game also.

I came to Mick O’Shea’s with a large group for a wedding afterparty, and we closed the place out in jolly, raucous fashion. It was a great, comfortable pub, though I assume we had some kind of reservation on our room. If it’s possible to walk into this place rolling like forty people deep, all the better, I guess.
We were in a spacious back room with plenty of seating and room to mill around. The vibe was casual, plain and pubby, and service was on point. Drink selection was solid. I don’t have the sharpest memories of the hours we spent here, but I’m pretty sure I had a beer or two (Dogfish Head 60 Minute? Monument City 51 Rye? both? other? all of the above?), and I am positive that one of my friends ordered a round of fireballs at around 1 in the morning. At least two people got sick at the hotel, and both credited these fireballs as the push over the edge.
I don’t know that this is a destination bar or anything, but I had a lot of fun at Mick O’Shea’s and would recommend it for a night of drinking in Baltimore. It was an ideal venue for our large party, just a great place to round out a day of celebration.

This is a fun place to grab a brew, enjoy some pub food and if you time it right some decent live music.
I was staying at a local hotel for a conference and this was within walking distance (of the Embassy Suites Inner Harbor).

Good service, had two good hoppy draught ales. Made a good whiskey drink. Nice live music. So can’t complain much.

Stopped in a couple of times while in town for a show. Very friendly atmosphere, locals and staff alike. Not a real bad walk from the Inner Harbor if you don’t want to wait all day to eat down there. All your favorite Irish pub draughts, great selection of Irish & Scottish whiskeys.
Food was very good. Had the Grand Marnier pit beef, wife had the crab cakes. Prices for both drinks & food can’t be beat. Would definitely stop by again next time I’m in town.

Great place to stop for lunch on a Saturday! We were served really quickly and the servers were all very friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced — Guinness and cider were both $ 5.96 for a 20 oz glass.
We ordered the bangers n mash and the Reuben. The food came out really fast and was hot and delicious. Would definitely come back!

(7÷29÷2015) We were in a different ‘hood than where our usual Irish pub is, and when we saw a friend through the window as we were passing by, decided to stop in for a late-​ish dinner. Place seemed a pretty lively mix of locals and downtown schlubs. Orioles v. Braves was on TV, tables of family groups with kids and babie, desk jockeys still in their suits and ties, conservatory kids on dates, and random tourists from the Tremont Grand nearby were eating, drinking, and making merry.
We started with the O’Shea’s Wontons (stuffed with mashed potato, cheddar, and bacon and deep-​fried), came piping hot, crispy, pretty satisfying and densely filling; really enjoyed the chipotle sour cream. I had the Fish and Chips, pretty enormous, deeply golden, crunchy, beer-​battered piece of cod on a pile of fairly wan, somewhat soggy (from frozen) steak fries. Coleslaw was crunchy, touch sweet, very small 2 oz. portion. My dining companion had the Grand Marnier Pit Beef, while tender enough, was deemed very sugary; a side of seasoned fries was «satisfactory», not soggy, but also not crisp on the exterior. There are a few «homemade» touches to the mostly Sysco/​US Foods frozen roundup, pretty much the sauces (tartar, GM, flavored sour cream).
Service was friendly, if a touch overwhelmed (being the only server in the whole back dining room). Prices were very reasonable. Solid neighborhood pub, if this is your neighborhood, but also friendly enough if you’re a visitor.

One thing everyone must know about this place, is that their happy hour deals and weekday specials are great! The happy hour specials run from 4−7pm. $ 2.50 domestic bottles, $ 3 rails, and more. Their weekday specials change on a daily basis. I came in on a Tuesday for happy hour and the weekday special was an $ 8 fish and chips entrée that usually goes for $ 11. The fish was fresh and a good size. It also came with coleslaw and fries. The fries came with old-​bay already but if you wanted my more, then it was by the bar (with other condiments like ketchup and vinegar). The service here was great. The bartender checked up on us constantly to make sure we had some type of alcohol in our hands and we were happy with our order. In addition, when I asked how much it would be to reserve the back room for an event, she explained in detail who to contact and how much it would be. Me and my friends enjoyed coming here for happy hour and plan on making this place one of our go to bars for the downtown area. Next time I come I’m gonna try to burger!

This is a great spot! During my two years in Baltimore, I had never been, but I’ll definitely be coming back.
It’s a casual Irish joint. Sports were on the TV and the craft beer list was legit. I highly suggest going on a Monday to take advantage of the burger deal (fries and drinks are free).
You’ll dig it.

Relaxed atmosphere. Decent prices. Food is fine, but admittedly nothing special. Great for groups just wanting to chill and chat. The service is fine as well. Overall, when I’m in the neighborhood, I don’t mind going in but it’s not someplace I would particularly seek out

I would say a solid 3.5 stars for the food, 4 stars for service and good prices.
We stayed at a hotel next door for a wedding and popped in here while waiting for our room. The place was fairly busy for a Friday around 1pm. The poor bartender had the entire bar area where everyone seemed to be seating, so it took awhile to get a drink but not too long. The bartender was fantastic, she was friendly and smiling, talked with us for a bit too.
I got the bleu cheese burger, it was ok, a little dry but not awful. The seasoned fries were excellent. My wife got the hot dog with mac n’ cheese and crab, she loved it. We split the tator tots with cheese, bacon and sour cream. These were awesome, the tots seemed a bit different and more crunchy than your run of the mill tots from like a Sysco foods. They were served with a ton of sour cream which I absolutely love, so that was a huge bonus.
Beers were decently priced and an ok selection. Seems like there are quite a few regulars here too. This place is huge inside, much bigger than it looks from the outside. It definitely has the Irish pub feel and if I was in Baltimore again I would definitely come back.

The reason for the low rating is solely due to the rude waitress we had. She was grumpy, seemed to be judgmental of our questions about the menu, and was not very attentive. When she delivered our check, she basically threw it at the table and the pen.
Aside from that, I liked this pub. The décor was fabulous, lots of Irish memorabilia, photos, flags, etc. The live band was cool, although not particularly my music taste. I passed by a room that had some video games.
My BBQ wings were really tasty and went perfectly with the bleu cheese dressing. I just wish I had more celery sticks and carrots. I thought the wings were a bit pricey too, but maybe they have a nice happy hour special. My friend’s burger was a huge portion and was tasty. My friends’ beers were good as well.
Definitely willing to come back here, seems like a popular place, hitting it up during happy hour for sure.

How great is this pub? I am a flight attendant who flys all over the world. If there is an Irish pub on my layover I am there. I love Ireland but here at Mick O’Shea’s in Baltimore, I feel like I am back in the Emerald Isle.
If ya worried about trying to food then stay away. You will miss the best Shepard’s pie and stew in the Baltimore and DC area ever!!!
And not to mention the great bar tending service by Joey who was outstanding!!!

I’ve been coming here for 5 years now, and their burger night has consistently been top notch. The burger night deal is awesome– beer, a huge burger, and fries for $ 9. The resurrection ale they have is really dark and amazing in the winter, and I always feel good about supporting a local brewery. And when I say local, I mean local! The resurrection ale is coming from Brewer’s Art just up the street.
However, the rest of the menu is merely OK. The fish and chips are soggy, the chicken burrito is bland, and the mac and cheese has been getting worse lately.
I’ve gotta say though, the desserts here are awesome. They are all home-​made and delicious. The portions are generous, and they will make anything a-​la-​mode with some of the richest homemade vanilla ice cream I have ever had.
