I came to give William a positive review because he was such a delight at the store… and discovered he has had many positive comments already. I sure hope the boss and home office are paying attention to this amazing employee! He made the everyday retail stop into an pleasant world tour of spices! Thanks buddy, keep up the great work!

If I could give more stars than 5, I certainly would. While my kids were enjoying another venue at the Inner Harbor, I took some time for myself and took a little walk on the spicy side…
I hadn’t realized just how much McCormick is actually in my kitchen. I needed a few spices to make my son’s favorite pork tenderloin recipe while he was in town and found exactly what I needed at McCormick.
I learned that they’d recently celebrated their anniversary, and that this one is the only store like it in the world (and that you can only get certain spices at this location, as they’re not in grocery stores). I’m new to this part of the country and came to realize just how much Old Bay is used — heard about it a lot on Food Network’s «Diners, Drive-​ins, and Dives» but I’d never tried the spice blend myself. It’s now on my list, along with other recipes that use the delicious smelling spice blend. For today, I stuck with the old standbys (like garlic, thyme, basil) but am happy to venture out and try new things — some of the spices there are ones I’d never heard of before. This girl was schooled :)
Very kind and helpful folks work here — if you go there on the weekend, they make food in the center kitchen area and have samples for the customers. I missed the salmon concoction by a couple of hours, as it was just getting started but note to self: come back on the weekend again for a tasty treat!

I had the best experience at this store yesterday! After a grueling day of tests and poking and prodding at Johns Hopkins hospital, I decided to treat myself to a walk around Inner Harbor in Baltimore. I was excited to check out the shops there and was so happy to see the McCormick World of Flavors! I hadn’t ever been, none of my family members have ever wanted to go, and since I was by myself, I made a bee line there. :)
When i walked in, I was greeted by the employees and asked if I needed help. I just wanted to walk around and see for myself what was available, and so they left me alone until I needed help.
Mr William White was so incredibly helpful! He even talked me into purchasing things I wanted but certainly didn’t need. lol :) He shared recipes with me that I am so excited to try. He is very very knowledgeable about that products in his store, took me straight to the low or no sodium products and even shared some info on what to avoid, due to high sodium content.
I really was so impressed by this young man’s professionalism and everything he taught and showed me! I will definitely be going back and getting one of the grinders and cruets!
Even though this store is out of the way for me, and a little more pricey than the grocery stores, with helpful staff and knowledgeable people to help, it makes shopping a pleasure!

Interesting concept. This retail shop sells spices. Yep, the stuff you see in the grocery store. You can buy it here. And all sorts of other «collectible» items from your favorite spices company. Clearly, they are very proud of Old Bay because they have Old Bay tshirts, coffee mugs, bumper stickers and even flip flops.
Retail prices, but if you play the «Identify the spice» game, you can earn a discount of 10% or more.

A really cool store, and the What’s Your Flavor? test is really cool. Plus the scent tester is a very fun way to get discount coupons. Definitely a place many people would overlook, but definitely worth checking out.

This is a first for me to see such an array of all of my favorite spices on display in an environment that has a test kitchen & samplings of spices on request. I was able to use the touch screen and find out my flavor profile. It was spot on when I was declared a «Sweet tart».
Speaking withe the employees here, I found out that customers can anticipate cooking events that they can sign up for. Everything was clean and orderly & even gives a snapshot of the McCormick history from stories to the evolution of packing, processing and introductions of flavors such as the lime salt. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to shop here; I’m sure you’ll discover or rediscover that one thing that makes your favorite dish pop.

If you want anything McCormick spiced — especially Old Bay potato chips (my favorite), this is the place to go. My friend and I were a bit let down because they were between shipments of their espresso spiced rub, but pleasantly surprised to see their spice basket options that give you a % off depending on the amount of spices you buy.
Everyone was very helpful and nice to talk to, and they have a few interactive areas that let you explore new seasonings — Would certainly return for more items. Who knew they had Old Bay seasoned sunflower seeds?

Do you like McCormick spices? If so, well, this place will have it and you can buy it. It’s like a McCormick spices outlet. There are all the spice packs you know and love (you know, taco seasoning, etc) as well as jarred spices. There is also lots of Old Bay things too because seafood! There are also souvenir type of things in case you’ve wanted souvenirs for your favorite spices… Old Bay flip flops? They’ve got ‘em!
There are lots of cookbooks and cooking wares, especially BBQ implements. There are some local treats like Old Bay flavored cheese curls and chips and stuff like that. There are some artisan type chocolate bars (jalapeño something or other chocolate and the like). There are some souvenir type things, especially for Old Bay that I suppose are good if you REALLY like Old Bay or McCormick seasonings.
It all make sense as a touristy type of thing up until you really think about it for a second and realize that 2/​3rds of everything for sale there is crap that you can get in any grocery store in America. I mean, who the hell is buying a packet of Taco Seasoning from this place?! Oh look everyone, this is the Taco Seasoning I bought in Baltimore! The giant containers of Old Bay are about the only thing to get here that would be novel or not available 5 minutes from your house back in bumf*$k wherever. And then, well, do you really need 5 lbs of Old Bay?

I am not a cook but my family found this place to be full of ingredients that can be used in their cooking. Thai Ginger and Lemongrass were some of the items purchased at the store. You can also obtain a discount coupon by playing with their Flavor Print machine. You can use the coupon to save on your total purchase.

I love that this store exists.
It’s exactly what it says, it’s a store that sells all kinds of random McCormick crack. From the old-​standbys of Montréal Steak Seasoning and Old Bay to the unique to this location stuff like the Asiago-​Parmesan cheese spread, it’s a great place to stop if you’re looking to spice up your dinner ;)
Stop in and get some fancy sea salts, or the aforementioned cheese spread crack (they have samples available, ask the friendly guys behind the counter).
I’ll be back, my mom demands a cheese spread tribute…

On a cold windy day here in Charm City, I sought refuge in the light street pavilion. It was here that some fudge Kaiden high jinks led me to this surprisingly fantastic gem.
If you are thinking, so what? It is just a bunch of stuff you can find in the grocery store, you would be wrong.
First of all this store is one of a kind and has dozens of items exclusive to it, plus others that are hard to find, but that isn’t why it gets 5 stars. Kurt is why it gets 5 stars!
Kurt is the assistant manager and boy does he know his stuff. Even though he was the only employee in the store, he very patiently taught me more about food, spices, even wine pairings than I could have ever hoped. His passion and excitement was infectious! I didn’t have much cash to make a big buy today, but you can bet that Kurt and I will be talking again REAL SOON!

Cool. A store that sells their spices. Somewhat disappointing that it was Old Bay centrix and didn’t have a lot of their other spices.

Great staff! So friendly and available to help with knowledge about the company and products. And the exclusive chocolate bars are to die for! They are not sold online and this store is the only one of its kind. They gladly gave us samples of all the flavors, the more I tasted the more I wanted to buy. The chocolate bars are a little over $ 4 each so not cheap but so delicious! We ended up buying Red Velvet (my favorite), S’mores and Jalapeño & Peanut. I wanted to buy some for everyone I know to share the amazingness of these bars. Good thing I live close enough by this store I can go back to buy more.

This place is super cool and very creative approach to the world of spices and flavor. I was impressed with the staff and their desire to just be friendly, could have been more knowledgeable but I wont hold that against them, it would be like asking everyone in a music store to be experts on every type of music. People have their own likes and dislikes with food.
Working in the technology world before I understand that displays might not work perfect and one of the machines was not working well while i was there but overall it was a cool spot that I will be back to buy more spices.

I grew up cooking and McCormick is a household product name in my family and I did not know that they were from Baltimore. They have a full line of standard spices that has made it’s way into all of our kitchens and meals.
As I grown to expand my spice closet through my various travels, I collect spices as souvenirs and ended up buying a lot here.
The most widely used and popular is OLD BAY. Not only can you buy the good stuff here at discount prices compared to grocery stores, you can get the various styles (Cajun, Lemon Herb, Reduced Sodium) and Crab Cake Seasoning.
I stocked up on as much unique McCormick spices as possible, stuff that I wanted to try or couldn’t readily find at home. They will all make nice gifts for my friends and family, who also love to cook.

Soooooo who knew McCormick had a store! I had no idea until I literally stumbled upon it while in Baltimore for work. Not sure what it was but seeing this store made me really happy. Let me mention that I am not really into cooking like that.
So this store contains pretty much everything McCormick makes. Majority of it I have seen in my local grocery store. The couple things I ended up purchasing I have never seen in my store. They sell olive oils and balsamic vinegars… flavored I might add. I walked away with a peach balsamic vinegar (very good in pasta) and an orange olive oil which I haven’t used yet. I could have spent a lot more if I could have fit it in my suitcase.
Speaking of… the staff was very nice to bubble wrap my items for me so they would survive in my checked luggage. They survived!
This is about the only good thing I have found about Baltimore thus far. I am not hoping I go back to Baltimore but if I do I will go to this store.

Just so much fun! They have an interactive «guess that spice» smelling game that you can get a coupon towards your purchases. They have not only McCormick spices, but a lot of the other products for which McCormick is the parent company of — such as Zatarain’s, Billy Bee honey, and Old Bay. They have hodge podge gadgets and gizmos which would make nice gifts. This is also where you would get the McCormick CHOCOLATE! I’ve tried their sea salt dark chocolate and it is divine (you do pay a premium at $ 4.50 per bar — so get more spices right on that game!). Other flavors that I recently bought but haven’t had a chance to taste include red velvet, toffee crunch, jalapeño peanut, smores, and cinnamon chili.
It’s just a beautiful store that is also fun. I’ve heard that there are cooking demonstrations — they have a nice demo area, but I haven’t witnessed any of it.

Everything McCormick makes, they sell here and you get little history of the company while visiting here. Use the smell taste machine thats to the left (when you look into the store) of the main entrance and if you go through it all, you can get 20% discount coupon.
I ended up using the coupon to by two aprons… saving me $ 8. I never knew they owned Old Bay… and didn’t know they were headquartered in Baltimore…
Good for tourist to stop by and get some history lesson :)

I debated 3 stars, but I give this place 4 stars because it’s full of delicious spices/​extracts/​books/​whathaveyous, the employees are amicable, there are cool little interactive videos and it’s just something different!
It’s a nice addition to the inner harbor, especially for tourists.
Speaking of tourists, the prices are definitely something they’re willing to lean on. No local will throw down that much for something that we could just as easily find in the grocery store.
