This place is just«okay». Not great, not memorable, but the food was edible. The husband and I took Carrie’s Momma out for her usual grocery run over at the Giant and we were all hungry, so we stopped here. I had a pepperoni calzone, while Momma had an Italian cold cut sub and LoML decided on a chicken marsala platter.(What can I say, sometimes he has quite the appetite.) I don’t think that Momma was impressed with her sub. She later said that it was«all bread, no meat». Not a good statement, coming from her. LoML pronounced the chicken marsala«just okay, nothing special». Not a good statement, coming from him. My calzone was… just okay. I thought that it could have used a lot more spice and a lot more cheese. But it wasn’t awful, just… nothing special. I don’t think we’d select this place again. There’s too many other choices to settle for«just okay». Tip for Diabetics: As always, most Italian places don’t use Dreamfield’s pasta or anything that’s truly«safe» for diabetics, so use caution if you’re going to order a pasta dish. The salads are always safe for the most part. My calzone didn’t spike me too badly, but I know my limitations. As always… Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

Tried Mamma’s Cucina last night because I had a LivingSocial deal. I was pretty impressed. The food arrived right when they said it would, piping hot, and my meal was pretty delicious. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini Rose(in a blush sauce) with garlic bread. Although the portion was a little small for $ 11(considering that Olive Garden offers unlimited bread, salad, and drinks for the same price, and does take out), it was definitely great to see great Italian dishes for delivery. I’m excited by the menu and will probably order again with a coupon. Bonus: being able to tip the delivery person online via LivingSocial– this was the icing on the cake for delivery since I didn’t need any cash/change at all.

I tried a pizza from Mamma’s Cucina after they had an offer on Groupon and was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I’m normally wary of strip-mall Italian food, but their Greek pizza was very good with a nice crust and tasty toppings. My only complaint is the mediocre garden salad that I got with it, but the pizza that this restaurant is certainly worth getting.
