I couldn’t be happier with my wedding photos. Leah did the most amazing job. She took creative, unique and beautiful photographs, which is what I was looking for in a photographer. She did an incredible job of capturing actual moments from my wedding in New Orleans through a photo. Leah had a wonderful second shooter come with her, and she was just as great. Leah is also funny, unique and creative, and she was a pleasure to work with throughout our wedding day.

I first met Leah when she photographed the wedding of two very close friends of mine. I have to admit that I was resistant at first, as I am also a photographer and I wanted to make sure everything was top notch. That was not a problem! I could tell right away that she knew what she was doing. She was aware of all of her surroundings, prepared to supplement light in an odd venue situation and was very unobtrusive. Not only that, but she made everyone feel comfortable. It was like we were all old friends. After the wedding, I checked out her portfolio and was blown away. I was even more impressed by my friends photos.
After this experience, I had no qualms in hiring her for my own session. I feel extremely awkward in front of the camera and knew it would not be an issue working with her. She worked with me before, during and after the session to make sure I was happy. I even ended up adding products because they were so high quality and well thought through. It would be very easy for me to get these on my own, but I really appreciated her attention to detail.
I was very happy with the whole process. Her services are worth every penny and the quality is top notch. I have been and will continue to recommend her to others. I also want to mention that she is LGBT friendly AND would rock any cultural or unique wedding or session. That in it’s self is worth the world to me.

Leah is a truly gifted artist. From the very beginning I could feel her excitement about working together, and that excitement never abated. She was extremely responsive and professional, and she offered a lot of helpful advice for planning and execution. If anyone is on the fence about contacting her, don’t be. She’ll make the day magical in a way that I am confident no one else could come close to achieving.

My husband I used Leah for our wedding in June, 2014. We had been looking for a photographer for our Maine wedding and could not find anyone who took the quality of photos we were looking for that was not already booked… and then I stumbled upon Leah’s photo for a Baltimore wedding on Style Me Pretty. The photos she took were so light filled and had the exact ethereal feel that we wanted. She was running a travel special, so we didn’t have to pay travel fees but did have to pay for her overnight in a hotel.
The quality of the photos she had plus her prices made the decision very easy for us, and we are so happy that we chose to work with her! She was very professional and took great pride in her work. She spent time the day before the wedding checking out the venue and first look spot to make sure she was familiar with the settings and even went out of her way to find another location to take some of the most breathtaking photos of the day. She approached her photography as documentary, not wanting to intrude in anyway, but also took the time to take all the necessary family and wedding party portraits that we wanted.
When we saw the final photos they took our breath away, they were so beautiful and we were so happy with the results. I would highly recommend Leah as a wedding photography to anyone!

I had been so excited to work with Leah since we booked her as our wedding photographer. Her shooting perspectives and her ability to fine tune the photos to such warm and sweet expression really matches we want for our wedding. The final products turned out to be as great as we thought it would be! Our wedding was at La Jolla, at the wedding bowl. It was already amazing there yet she made it even more dreamier!
Leah was very professional on the day of wedding, and playful too. She fitted in with the party pretty well on the day. It’s very important so that she can capture the natural smile on our guests’ face. She also ran up and down to make sure everything were beautifully captured. I really appreciate her running down 10 blocks from our venue to the reception just to make sure she got all the detail shots of my well-​decorated reception in a limited time. It really showed us that she values our wedding as much as we do!
Hiring Leah is my best decision while planning my wedding. She really helped to keep our wedding memories vivid and beautiful!

Most talented wedding photographer in DC/​Baltimore Area! As a wedding photographer Leah I highly recommend her. I shoot many weddings with her and she is always stays on top of the things, always stays on schedule and always have good mood! Take look at her pictures and you’ll be impressed. Leah was amazing to work with — even on a cold, rainy day where we all were stuck out in the elements. Somehow even our photos came out beautiful even though it was not, to say the least, a beautiful day.
She took the time to listen to the style we were looking for and what we wanted to capture. I have high standards and know exactly what I want when it comes to photography and I was incredibly happy with our photos.
Prior to the shoot, Leah was easy to contact. The day of the shoot she met our requests and offered some great ideas. And then, she turned around our photos in 24 hours! Needless to say, I signed up with Unilocal just to write this review.

Unfortunately, we were never able to use Ms. Hewitt for our wedding. After looking over her site, we were impressed by her work and thought we had found our photographer! We were so excited about using her, and all the reviews we had read were great! But after 3 separate emails and one Facebook message (that was marked ‘read’ moments later), we had still heard nothing from Ms. Hewitt. We gave her about 3 weeks after our first email since it was the holiday season, but still, no response. In the meantime, between emails, she even changed her website to specifically say that she would respond to emails within 24 hours (to which we sent our second email), and provided a calendar where we saw that our date was still available (crushing discovery). We thought that maybe with the updates to the website, she wasn’t receiving emails, so we emailed her directly to her posted email. Still nothing. We are very saddened by the fact that we will need to start the photographer search once again, but having a responsive photographer is an important trait.
