Our chocolatiers and candy artisans love to show off! David hails from Michigan, headquarters state of Kilwins! He relocated to Baltimore with his wife, Karen, who is a native Marylander, in 2011. Together, they developed a love of Kilwins after visiting many shoppes in Florida, which is where they relocated from. They wanted to bring this great experience to folks in Maryland!

I’ve been to this Kilwin’s several times. They have a wide selection of sweets, chocolates, ice cream and more.
THE GOOD…
–all the ice cream I’ve had has been good
–gourmet rice krispy treats (all the kinds they sell), are super good
–turtles are good
–you can taste ice cream flavors
THE BAD…
–parking can be a pain at times
–staff isn’t always the friendliest (just about every visit)
–somethings are a bit pricey
Overall, I like several things I’ve had here. Decent place to grab a sweet and keep walking around Fells Point. Would be better though if the people who worked there on Friday and Saturday nights were more professional and courteous.

Can we say kid in a candy store, well big kid in a candy store! That is exaclty how I felt when I walked into this shop. From the music playing in the backround, to the overwhelming amount of choclates and delicous treats to choose from as well as a mom hiding in a corner sneaking taste of her child’s ice cream. This is a place that is a must to see when walking the streets of Fells Point!
They are a specialty desserts shop, that is a small chain, they have a map on the wall of their different locations which looks to be primarily on the east coast. They do make most of their desserts on site, some of their truffles and crème’s are deliveried. The man that was working the counter that day was such a joy. I can tell he enjoys his job and interacting with customers. He was getting a good laugh out of my friend and I singing and not knowing what we wanted to pick from.
I ended up ordering an assortment of crème’s and truffles. They were absolutly delicous! I look forward to returning on days when I want to splurge a little in life as well as bringing visitors from out of town here.

There is a vast variety of fudge, ice-​cream, and other frozen sweet treats, so you are almost guaranteed to find something you’ll love. The staff is friendly and accommodating and all the servings are huge so even a small ice-​cream is still really fulfilling.

I went in at 8.15 tonight and they close at 9. We stood at the counter ready to order for 5 minutes while a guy behind the counter continued to mop the floor. I finally asked if anyone was able to help us and he stopped to help us. He grabbed the cones and went right into the case touching all the ice cream with his dirty hands he was using to mop the floor. I asked if he could wash his hands before touching the food, so he gave me a dirty look and washed his hands with plane water, than grabbed the same cones he was handling before he washed his hands. I asked if they had food service gloves and he stated «no». I asked the worker how he could handle money, mop floors and clean and serve Ice cream and never wash his hands, he said I was the only person all day that had a problem with it!!! I guess I must be picky.

If you have a sweet tooth, Kilwin’s has got everything you could possibly want. They have unique items as well, like snickerdoodle covered marshmallows and salted caramel rice krispie treats. In the fall, their pumpkin ice cream is to die for. Unsure on which flavor to choose? This can be tough but they will patiently let you try them out until you settle on something.

My God this was good ice cream. I got Kilwins tracks, or something close on a waffle cone. Caremel, fudge stripes, swirled through vanilla ice cream with BIG chunks of peanut butter cup. The ice cream was rich and had a buttery taste, and great flavor. Staff was super nice even when they were so busy. Fells point is beautiful. Cobblestone streets from over 100 years ago, and the water mere feet away… makes the ice cream taste even better.!!

Greeted by an array of fudge at the door that softly leads you to the magnificent array of ice cream: welcome to Kilwins!
I brought my kids in here after a little stroll along the streets of Fells Point and they fell in love with the place. All of us hailing from Wisconsin, we know our ice cream… and this was dairy good ;) My son favored Fudge Brownie and his girlfriend was charmed by the New Orleans Praline Pecan — both chose waffle cones to house their scoops of rich goodness. They were very quiet as they concentrated on the masterpieces but did utter a few giggles (and one expletive) when the heat of the day expedited the melting process. While they needed to pick up the pace while eating, they totally enjoyed the cones. How delightful.
The place was spotless and the people working there were very nice. The next time I am there I will sample the fudge — something with pecans would be lovely, actually. I will happily bring family here again to savor the flavors of this sweet little establishment. Keep up the great work, everyone!

Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth!
The fudge is absolutely delicious. As is the ice cream. They also have many different concoctions of candies and sweets.
It’s right on Thames Street. In front of Sofi’s Crepes (Another great place). It’s a touch pricey. But I’ve never had a bad thing there.

Came to fells point out of random. In fact, when I was living in Baltimore, I’ve never been here. After I moved to Virginia, I found this spot and felt lucky that I tried their ice cream.
They have different flavors. Before you decide what flavors you like, you can always ask for samples. My friend got the peach yogurt, pistachio and toasted coconut in a waffle bowl, it costs around 11 dollars. The portion is generous and four of us shared it.
As for the ice cream, OMG, it is so good. The texture is dense and creamy. And they don’t skimp on the ingredients. For peach yogurt, you can see actual peach in it; same with pistachio and coconut.
The toasted coconut is my favorite of all. It has a strong coconuty flavor and is melting in your mouth. Rich and smooth. As for the waffle, it is fresh made in the house and tastes so good. Crunchy and buttery.
Come to try their ice cream and it is to die for and worth every penny!

The shop looked tempting so we walked in but I was surprised that the smell of sweets that were being prepared didn’t great U.S.
I was tempted to get a waffle cone with a scoop of pistachio & toasted coconut. Unfortunately the waffle was really bad, the pistachio was ok but the toasted coconut was really good.
The kids had the rainbow & blue moon, both were all color but no taste.
The scoops are really big & they don’t give half scoops.
My sister had a Carmel apple which she loved
So, we would suggest the toasted coconut ice cream in a paper cup & a Carmel apple
The owner of the place really values costumer satisfaction & tries to fix any problems first hand. After posting my review above the owner sent me a message apologizing & offered to send me free ice cream cards by mail.

The ice cream here is delicious and they have great flavors. My fiancée and I always get the mint chocolate chip and coffee/​strawberry flavors, but have also tried a few others. We often come here after eating dinner in Fell’s Point or the Inner Harbor, and they never disappoint! The service is great, and the décor is cute and fun. I hope to try their caramel apples and other desserts someday!

This review is for the milkshakes at Kilwins only: absolutely AVOID the milkshakes! They are basically a tiny spoonful of ice cream mixed with tons of milk and chocolate syrup, resulting in a runny mess. There is NO thickness to the milkshake… it’s overall just a sad glass of chocolate milk :(
Also, it’s one of the most expensive milkshakes in Baltimore! $ 9!
Very disappointed.

I enjoyed their ice cream, but everything in this store is kinda expensive. They have no seating, so only come here for ice cream if the weather is nice. I wanted a caramel apple but those prices ranged from $ 7 to $ 11, just to give you an idea of how much things here cost.

I’ve been excited to try this place since reading the reviews but underwhelmed. I had a hard picking a flavor everything was just too sweet and sad to say a little freezer burned. (I can definetly tell the difference.) The price was high $ 7 for a two scoop ice cream cone but I did receive an waffle cone upgrade from my Unilocal check in.
I might try it again in the summer if in the area, in hopes the flavor would be fresher. The candy selection is nice but also pricey.

This place is expensive but SO worth it.
Ice cream is on a point and so are their other treats. The only reason why I’m taking a star away is because I’m not quite sure all their employees are completely trained. I came in one day to order a ‘caramel latte’ (for the first time here) and didn’t really expect anything out of the ordinary since it’s a normal drink. I believe it was the owner who made my drink and IT WAS AMAZING. Hands down; the best coffee I have ever had in my entire life. The caramel flavor was so rich but not too overpowering. It was just perfection.
I could feel the addiction developing in me. However, the next day that I went… I actually decided to order two lattes (one for me & one for my husband), only this time it was an employee and another one who looked like he may have been new. It was nice of him to ask me to try it before I paid for it but even on the 3rd try, it was no where near like my first cup. It just tasted like milk mostly and they claimed something was wrong with the machine. I mean… if there was something wrong with the machine… I would have expected them to just not sell me the 2 cups.
This is really only a big deal because lets face it, Kilwins is not cheap. It is really annoying to spend over $ 10 for 2 cups of coffee when they were not up to par.
Moral of the story: Try to get someone who seems experienced to make your drinks.

Curse you Kilwin’s! Ruining my New Year’s resolution so quickly. Why, oh why, is your store so pretty and filled with so many gooey sweet confections and why must you be located so conveniently to the bars I frequent? You make it so easy for me to say, «Let’s just pop in for ONE truffle!» It never fails that we leave with enough dessert to satisfy 47 pregnant women.
The staff is always smiley and patient as we dance from display case to LED backlit display case. I can never leave there without at least one apple (for now and another apple for tomorrow.) Did you know that you can have them cut up your «for now» apple and leave your «tomorrow» apple whole; just put it in the fridge and it’ll keep overnight. IF you make it that long.
Sad to say, we haven’t tried the ice cream here, although they seem to always be making fresh waffle cones. If we’re in the mood for frozen treats we tend to hit up the gelato place around the corner, who seems to have a better selection. That’s okay. I’ll always gleefully come here for overpriced truffles and leave with a smile on my face.

I don’t have much of sweet tooth but those 1 or 2 times a year I get the urge I always go to Kilwins, much better than Maggie Moo’s (and doesn’t smell like expired milk)
The prices are high but so is the quality. I especially like the unique flavor of fudge they come up with.
Service is super friendly though I wish they would just shut up sometimes and stop asking me if I need help. You don’t have to ask ever 2 minutes.

If you have a sweet tooth this is SO the place for you! After a fabulous brunch with my boyfriend we decided to walk around Fells since it was such a beautiful day! As we venture down Thames Street we saw another couple eating some delicious looking ice cream so we asked where they got it from and they pointed across the street. So we decided to walk some more since we just ate brunch and stop through on our way back to the bond street wharf to sit for a bit by the water.
When we walked back and got to the shop I was so excited. Like a little kid literally! Just looking in the glass windows and seeing all the goodies gets you before you even walk in. But oh how glorious it is when you enter in! I feel like they have everything you can think of for a person that loves sweets. Candy apples, cakes, chocolates, etc. I made a b-​line to the ice cream! So much to choose from. The amazing manager, who even let me take a fun pic of him for my Unilocal review, let me try the cake batter ice cream… OMG!!! I am in love. It has chunks of baked cake in the mix! SOOOO GOOD!!! Even my boyfriend loved it and he doesn’t like sweets. Of course I got a scoop of that. I should have tried other flavors but I was sold on this one. I’ll just have to venture back to try other ones another time. The prices are really decent to for original recipe, fresh, flavorful ice cream.
As we were heading out after paying we noticed the waffle iron in another section near the door. The manager explained that they make their own waffle cones fresh in the store. Definitely gonna have to try that as well next time.
I suggest that if you love sweets you check out this place. It is where sugar dreams are made! Lol!
