Horrible service. I placed an order for 200 wings for a surprise party with a pickup time of 6pm. The order was finally ready at 640pm! I asked to speak to the manager(whom I took a photo of) who nonchalantly responded«ok» when I informed him of the 40 minute delay. I was informed by many other people this is the way they always treat their customers… I guess they do not care much for their audience as long as they are getting paid. I only wanted him to apologize at the very least but instead I was met with a «who cares» attitude. Very disappointed since I love coming to Hip Hop Chicken when I come into town.

Haven’t been back in a while until today. Got the jumbo shrimp and fries. I see the added new things to the menu like mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, greens and so forth.

It’s ok. I ordered«double» chicken breast. I put«double» in quotes BC it’s far from that and the meaty part of the breast was minuscule. I got two chicken breast plates/bones with a little of what I’ll presume was the breast. Chicken was extremely dry, hard and tasted like old chicken meat. Fries were my most enjoyable part of the meal. They added some white powdery condiment I guess as garnish, which I did not like. I went for a pickup and began to feel nauseous with smell of urine from the waiting area. So won’t be going again.

Hip-Hop does fried chicken right! Nicely seasoned wings and legs are my guilty pleasure. The fish is pretty good, too. This is not the spot for dieters, healthy eaters, etc. I only visit when I’m home here in Baltimore(about once every 2 months). They also have assorted desserts, sides, etc. Prices are reasonable for what they sell.

This location of this franchise is the worst I’ve patronized. The chicken was scrawny, brittle, and hard. And the customer service was terrible. We were told our food would be ready in 20 minutes but it took about 40. So disappointed. I’ll stick to the Baltimore National Pike location.

Stopped in here the other night with the boyfriend for another hit of HHF&C’s great chicken. There was a bit of confusion when we ordered 2 combo 9-buck meals with 2 chicken breasts and it ended up only being 14 dollars — apparently, it’s cheaper to order it another way, but I was tired and didn’t really catch the explanation. I ended up, uh, a little upset at the counter person but once it was straightened out, it was fine. I tipped the guy an extra 5.00 to try and make up for the churlishness.(Really, I’m not usually like this, but I’d had a REALLY bad day at work!) This particular location is a little more run-down than the others — I have to say that this is the only time I’ve walked into an HHF&C and felt a bit uneasy about my surroundings(and I’m FROM Baltimore City). This is definitely NOT the place to take a date. The chicken breasts were ginormous. Excellent value for money, as always. Tip for Diabetics: You’ll do fine with the chicken here, even with all of the fried coating. The white bread slices, stay away from them. The fries? Don’t even ask — they’ll raise your levels to a whole other world. But the chicken is just fine. Levels Before: 87 Levels After: 214(ack!) Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

What’s with dark meat only being wings and chicken legs??? What happened to the thighs? My buddy and I came here with his recommendation. It was good chicken but nothing to tell anyone else about.

Went there yesterday with my boss, we have heard many good things about Hip-Hop and wanted to check it out. Freaking awesome. I dont eat much fried food, and havent had fried chicken in a long while, but I tell ya… this place is the jam. I got a ‘combo’ with fried breast and jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were pretty large and tasty. The chicken was soooo good, I didnt need the extra salt they put on when its finished in the fryer but still, very good. I agree with Anthony W, the fries arnt anything special. Overall, dang good food.

I never heard or knew of Hip-Hop until I returned home to Baltimore from my time in the military. I will give them honest credit, they do have good fish and chicken. I have family who use them to get chicken for large gatherings were cooking yourself may be a bit overwhelming. I usually get chicken and fries with the chicken always being good but I don’t particularly care for the fries. No reason really, the fries just have never struck me as that great. I decide to switch things up and get fish on my last visit and went with two pieces of whiting. I was impressed, there’s nothing super duper about it but it was good and I will definitely try it again. The service was good I got what I asked for in a timely fashion so no need to complain there.
