Haven’t been to this bus station before but will say it is in a prime location. It is right off the highway not too far from Ravens stadium and the new Horseshoe Casino. My trip today was for another nature; not traveling but for shipping. In my planning to move to the west coast I have been looking for cost effective ways to get my things there. I have used the post office and UPS and they are just entirely too pricey but effective means. My boxes always arrive all banged up tho.
I did some research online and found greyhound express for shipping. They have some stipulations on multiple packages so you have to go through
. I was a little suspect about this and did my research online and called the company directly. I was convinced this was worth a shot. I packed up about 7 large boxes average weight about 20 – 35 pounds for a total of 213 pounds. So you purchase the space on greyhound from
online. They then send you a PDF of labels to be placed on each box. I did station to station to save on money. It was a total of $ 160. Can’t bet that! Anytime I had a question and called I was able to get through and speak to someone and they were very helpful!
I had the help of Julius and Alexis to make the process very smooth on my drop off. They were VERY helpful! They gave a GPX receipt and told me I could track the freights travel across country. It took a while for the tracking info to finally show up as I checked each day, but when it did it was half way across the country already. SCORE! It took 6 whole days which I was shocked. I was expecting longer. My boyfriend was called and told that the items were ready for pick up and he had to show ID. Then they helped him load them up and he was on his way. He said they were in the best shape ever, like they were never disturbed.
As iffy as I was about this process it was success and I will be sending out my next shipment out soon. Definitely the best method to move across country if you are not taking furniture and other big items. I am definitely endorsing this process and place. Just understand you are doing this your own risk and things could go wrong, but I was blessed enough to not have anything go wrong on my end.
