Good Doggie Day Care

We LOVE Good Doggie Day Care. My two dogs have been hanging out with their friends at GDDC for years. They are still very excited to go, and they always return home happy and tired. All I have to say to them is: «do you want to go to school?» and they begin barking and whirling, Both guys hate to leave at the end of the day and drag their feet on the way out!
One of the best things GDDC offers is «Doggie Cam.» You can watch the dogs play from the GDDC website, and see what each group is up to. During a trip to Rome my husband and I tapped into Doggie Cam every afternoon on the hotel’s lobby computer. The Italian guests were astonished to see not only the access to our pets via Doggie Cam, but also the facilities at GDDC and the variety of activities offered. We stayed in the hotel for a couple of weeks, and GDDC and its Doggie Cam became a popular afternoon entertainment. The desk staff would shriek, «Vieni qui, si deve vedere questo» (come here, you’ve got to see this), and we’d draw a crowd of enthusiastic onlookers. There is nothing like GDDC in Italy!!!
Good Doggie Day Care offers as positive an experience for me as it does for my two dogs. I know they are safe and happy and I enjoy seeing them have a great time. Whether they are at GDDC for the day, or for several weeks, our boys are happy little guys and can’t wait to return for more playtime with the wonderful staff members and their canine friends.

When my parents officially became empty nesters, they got the one thing I begged for for the first 18 years of my life: a dog. But being the workaholics they are, they still need some help making sure their new bundle of joy was cared for during the day: enter Good Doggie Day Care!
I’ve been here several times when I’ve come to town to visit and this place is run like a well-​oiled machine. Nothing seems overlooked– from the way the lobby is set up with multiple doors to prevent clever four-​legged escape artists from doing their thing– to employees who camp out with the dogs round the clock (through snowstorms and holidays too!).
This place has been a life saver for them on so many occasions. Their dog loves coming here and they like knowing he’s in good hands.
My mom’s favorite part is the cameras– more than a dozen views of different rooms around the facility so you can tune in and watch what your pup is up to! I can’t help but notice my furry sibling gets more perks than I did growing up. This place comes highly recommended from some tough critics, it’s sure to impress you and your dog!

This is truly heaven on earth for dogs. Everything about this place is 5-​star.
The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They always have things under control and are consistently polite to all the dogs and dog owners. They really seem like they enjoy being there, too.
The facilities are wonderful. 10+ rooms, all with different activities and toys for dogs of all sizes. Dogs are normally split up by size, and it’s comforting to know the dogs switch rooms several times during the day.
The process of getting your dog «in» to the daycare is also professional and comforting. I recommend calling ASAP to get scheduled for the tour because the wait list can be long!

Could not be more pleased with choosing GDDC for our lab puppy, Wally. As an overprotective puppy mother I was cautious about choosing the right daycare to start sending our 6 month old to but GDDC exceeded our expectations. Wally always comes home happy and exhausted. The staff is always really friendly, responsive and you can tell they care about the dogs. They keep only 15 dogs to a group at a time, give your dog individual feeding time, are completely cage free and rotate the dogs around to different rooms during the day and outside. Overall the place is just run really well.

My dogs have been going to GDDC every week for 9 years and it has consistently been an outstanding experience. The staff is friendly and professional which makes it as much fun for the people as it is for their pets! The real key is that my dogs are so excited to go there and at the end of the day, they come home tired — I know they are having a full day of fun!

My pups have been going to GDDC for years. I watch them during the day. One of my dogs passed in the owners arms, he was elderly and had been very ill. If I could not be there at that time, I’m glad it was her. My dogs are given any meds they need and stay there when I am away.

Employees on cell phones, largely ignoring dogs. They turn up the charm when you walk through the door. I want my dog to be actually cared for while I’m gone. I’ve seen employees having conversations with others while they are supposed to be «on duty».

Can’t say enough about this day care facility for dogs. The staff is fantastic and Dog-​mama Barbara is the best and her care/​concern for the dogs shines through every moment.
They have an efficient system of what dogs go where, they’re never left alone, and they get nap time — it’s much needed during a full day of play! I have two senior dogs that go 2 – 3 times a month (keeps them young!). I picked them up recently and they had put a coat/​blanket on my oldest dog to help with his arthritis and the cold!
It’s that kind of attention and care that results in this place having a waiting list for the initial visit and interview before they are cleared/​accepted to attend on a regular basis. Good Doggie Day Care is well worth the wait and the expense!

This is the best dog boarding and daycare in Baltimore! My somewhat hyper and neurotic border collie mix has been coming here and to their previous location in Hampden for the past couple of years and she always comes home happy and relaxed after a trip to GDDC. I love that I can see how she’s doing on their numerous webcams and that they’re cage/​crate-​free. The staff is so friendly and laid-​back. And they always have space for boarding, even over busy holiday weekends.
Also, lord knows how they keep the place so unbelievably CLEAN and SPOTLESS.

I’ve been really happy with all aspects of GDDC in the 18 months that I’ve been bringing my dog there. I use them about once a week, and occasionally for a long weekend «sleep-​over» if I’m going to be out of town. Being able to watch the webcams is great, and they do also get plenty of outdoor playtime… with kiddie pools and sprinklers during the summer time. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, and there is at least one or two staff members in each dog playroom at all times, which is reassuring to know.

Best doggie day care in the area! It’s the only 100% cage-​free doggie daycare in Baltimore. They provide access via webcam to your doggie’s daily activities which can be accessed through your computer or an app for your phone. The daycare specialists are amazing with the dogs, and if your dog has to board, the overnight staff sleeps in the same room so they can snuggle up with a surrogate parent for the night!

I can not say enough great things about Good Doggie Daycare!!! They take wonderful care of our incredible hyper mutt, and are always happy to have her. The staff is very friendly, they love their dogs, and it shows.
Dogs are totally spoiled with huge play spaces, beds, lots of outside time (weather permitting) and a day full of belly rubs. Our dog comes home happy and exhausted. I love that they are cage/​crate free, and just let the dogs run and play together. Our dog can really be a lot to handle, but I completely trust her with them.
They just moved to a new location on 29^th St, so it’s even more room for their dogs to run and play.

We love Good Doggie Daycare! They have been so excellent with our maltese mix, Elliott. We’ve tried out most of the daycares in the city and this is by-​far our favorite. The staff is friendly and really takes an interest in all the dogs they watch — they have nicknames for almost every dog and really get to know their personalities. I even get pictures texted to me every once and a while when El does something funny or cute. Having the online video feed is also cool. Best of all, they are so helpful. They have saved us a couple of times when he have had emergencies or last minute, changed plans. We left El there for a little over two weeks for our wedding and honeymoon and felt very confident he would be well taken care of. Whenever anyone asks about dog daycare or sitting recs we always suggest GDD.

My name is Charlie. I am a year-​old miniature golden and I wanted to tell you how much I love going to Good Doggie Day Care. I can’t contain myself when my owner drives down Ash Street and approaches the building. I can’t stop jumping when I enter the inviting lobby with treats, testimonials about how great the place is, and friendly stuffed dogs. When the amazing staff come out to greet me and take me to the back yard, which you can see from the Jones Falls Expressway (I get excited when I see the yard, too!), I know I am about to have a fabulous day.
My owner says the place is spotless, cozy, and full of friendly people who love dogs so much. I agree. My owner loves that I come home exhausted. I have a lot of energy and the place tires me out. She can watch me on the web cam, also.
I wish I could go every day. They have boarding too, but I have not stayed over night. One day, perhaps. Until then, I really enjoy my days at Good Doggie. So does my owner.

I’m actually surprised I’m the first to review this long standing and well loved dog daycare. I wouldn’t have normally bothered submitting a review. Good Doggie Day Care (GDDC) was the first daycare my puppy ever used and even though I always thought they were fantastic I didn’t realize how outstanding they were until I moved to another part of the city and began using a different daycare. This «different daycare» has always been highly acclaimed as the best in the city and if you don’t know any better, you would think they were. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t horrible (I’d give them 3 – 4 stars) and it has taken me several weeks to finally decide to suck it up and make the long haul to Hampden to have my puppy attend Good Doggie Daycare again. It’s just that once you’ve had the best, it’s hard to go back. Here are my reasons this place is the BEST in list form.
1. There is ALWAYS someone playing with the dogs at Good Doggie Daycare (GDDC). There is a webcam and you can see for yourself.
2. There is a pick up/​delivery service in the afternoon for those in the vicinity who want their dogs to go half day but can’t get them there or back.
3. My dog was always tired after a half day at GDDC. She would fall fast asleep on the way home
4. They do not allow play fighting. At first I thought that was a bit lame until my puppy got bit at a «different daycare» and I realized the reason was that the dogs weren’t always supervised there and they were allowed to fight. With dogs who don’t know each other it is hard to tell when they’ve moved from playing to fighting.
5. The play area is HUGE. Much bigger than any others I’ve seen.
