Our workshop and showroom are located in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore.

We restore, reupholster and refinish antique, vintage and modern furniture as well as selling it. You may purchase from our inventory of ever-​changing affordable fine furnishings, lighting, paintings & prints, elegant mirrors and clocks. We also accept quality consignments so let us know what you have.

When you come in to our location in Federal Hill, we’ll sit in our comfortable store with a no-​pressure environment and let you take your time choosing finishes and fabrics.

Business Owner

David Reiff of Federal Restorations has been an antique geek since he was eight years old, restoring pieces in his parents’ garage. He was the shortest bidder in the farm auction, buying tables, old Victrolas and desks and building his own collection.

In high school, he was found in the woodshop constructing coffee tables out of Amish buggy wheels. (not a bad profit at $ 450 a pop when you’re in high school.)

He’s done professional furniture restoration for museums, galleries, other dealers and private collectors for many many years in different locations and incarnations-​first as Heirloom Restorations, then as Eagle Antiques and now as Federal Restorations. Our state of the art workshop offers a variety of repair and restoration services. Our dedicated, talented, and seasoned craftsmen are the best in the business. Federal Restoration’s craftsmen take pride in their work and handle your furniture with loving care.
