Relaxed, locally sourced, everyday affordable and delicious… that’s the way it should be. Located in the brand new Shops at Canton Crossing, with Chef Galen Sampson at the helm, Farmstead Grill serves lunch, dinner and snacks seven days a week. Throw in outdoor dining, a leafy green park and Farmstead Shack, our quick-service kiosk, and you have a restaurant that elevates a trend into something worth crowing about.
History
Established in 2014.
Farmstead Grill opened its doors on June 16, 2014. Our quick-service kiosk, Farmstead Shack, will open on July 7. Chef Galen Sampson is the creative mind behind this farm-to-table restaurant. You may know him from his years at Harbor Court Hotel and The Dogwood.
Meet the Business Owner
Galen S.
Business Owner
A five-star award-winning chef, Galen Sampson has served as culinary director and executive chef of some of Baltimore’s most respected hospitality establishments, including The Dogwood Restaurant and The Harbor Court Hotel. He is widely regarded as a leader in the local field-to-plate movement and for his fresh, light, contemporary American cooking.
In 2013 he took a sabbatical from the stove to work on an 800-acre farm in Charlottesville, VA, and broaden his understanding of how farms and restaurants can work together to put fresh, clean food on the table. He returned to Baltimore to join the Farmstead Grill and Farmstead Shack development team, putting all his knowledge to work in a restaurant that aims to make farm-to-table dining fresh, family-friendly and affordable.
Farmstead Grill and Farmstead Shack opened in the summer of 2014 at The Shops at Canton Crossing.
